The different races.

I was trying to find some websites telling the different between each race, is it like daoc with races more leaned towards fighting/healing etc?

It seems to me the only difference is how they look and there height, is there any sites with more information or can anyone tell me a bit about the different stats of each race?

The races have different bonuses to certain things similar to DAOC. When you go to create your character and click on a race it gives you a detailed information for what they are good at and also there bonuses at the bottom so I wouldn't worry to much.

For example Trodashans/Wookies/Zabraks are all good for fighting professions.

Trodashans get a large + to Health/Con/Str and heal slightly faster than other races and have a + to unarmed combat skill.

Wookies get large +'s to there health/con/strength but can't wear protective armor in game.

Zabraks get good +'s to health/con but also get other combat bonuses but can't remember exactly what they are.

Basically at the bottom it tells you the bonuses for each race like this:

Strength:+100
Constitution:+100
Health:+200
Mind:+0
Action:+0
Quickness:+0

There are other things as well but I am sure you get the general idea. The above race would be good for a melee fighter but would be pretty crap for a medic as no bonus to the mind pool.

Unlike DAOC though in this game you really can be any race you like, the bonuses do help but you can't 'gimp' your character by having an unusual race for a certain class. Also in-game there is a 'stat migration' where you can lower some stats to increase other stats (like DAOC char creation), so you can always customize your character to suit your playing needs.
