So it seems this is starting to take off

anyone read the books?

personally i am not a big fan of most of Stephen Kings other stuff but i loved the dark tower series, a freaky combination of Action, Western, Sci-Fi, Thriller

and Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) to be Roland Deschain, the Gunslinger

hmmm not sure what to make of this. It's a pretty hard series of books to put into film, and given the success rate with film adaptations of his other books I'm not confident......

Not sure if this will work as a film really. Some of his books do work. Shawshank, Green mile are 2 that spring to mind (though obviously "based on")

Have the full series of books and i remember reading up to book 5 or six and thinking the writer must have started smoking crack or something at about that point as they good really weird.

Would love to see how the film turns out as the books started off really well.
