Not read the book though I am familiar with the background material and just seen the film.

Personally I thought it started well but after about halfway through it lost pace and the ending was poor.

I cant see the Catholic church actually being unhappy about this film in reality - anything that makes the church look like it might still be relevant rather than an outmoded remnant of superstition must be welcomed.

All publicity is good publicity et. al.

People might even read the bible...

Yes, but you're forgetting that the people in the Church that are complaining about this film won't have been to see it. The same way they didn't go to see Dogma or Life of Brian :)

Dan brown sucks. Every story he has written is pap fiction and completely contrived. Even they were well researched it still doesn't make them clever.

The day I pay money to see this film (or read the book - 3 of his novels were enough) is the same day that I admit 'I heart huckabees' is comedy.

Hmm, I've been putting off watching I Heart Huckabees for about 2 years - it's no good then?

film was ok imo. I went in knowing it prolly wasn't going to be a masterpiece and it wasn't. I'll give it 6.7 out of 10. also I dropped a bucket of popcorn on the bloke sitting in front of me, which was a bit of a laugh even though it was my dinner :/
