I've actually read of cases like that happening in EQ where the owners of the account (admittedly probably hardcore no lifers playing 24/7) have actually committed suicide after it happening... if I was ever stupid enough to do something like that I think the possible mental stability of the person I was doing it to would be enough for me to not do it.

I disagree... wouldn't happen to me 'cos;

a) I wouldn't suggest someone macro'ed their crafting (not that I think he wouldn't have ripped um off if they hadn't)

b) I would never, ever give my account details to anyone, especially not to someone who's just joined my guild.

Different if you have an account hacked or something but in this case, fair play to the scammer imo.

I do remember reading something in GOAs coc about not scamming other realmmates. Well not worded in exactly that way, but becoming famous on other servers for your scams is probably something GOA will ban you for and tbh im glad if they do

In this case the guy who got scammed was an idiot, but DW have a history of abusing peoples trust and DW and those like them make it impossible for anyone to trust someone else in mmo games. Which is abit sad.
It seems atleast a few of them have moved to WoW, I wonder how long it will take before blizzard bans them as they do cause people to quit playing the game.

i had a look at some of the other stuff on that website, I read the one called 'the last crusade' or somthing, where they kill df merchants then when the other ppl trying to buy items tell the Dw lot to feck off, a CSR appears and tells them to stop spamming, i mean WTF?

that websites nasty, but its also a good lesson to everyone out there, NEVER give your account details out.
