I just watched this on Bluray after not seeing them since Ultimatum at the cinema and I have to say easily one if not the best CIA based films ever.

Everything from the cast, story, locations, car chases and fight scenes just blows everything away.

The sheer pace of the films is awesome, anyone else a fan?

Yeah I like them. The books are good too, a very good author.

First and third ones were amazing, I thought the second one was a bit shite tbh, hated the direction of it, hated the shakey cam effect with all the fight scenes.

Hate to say it but I think they piss over all the recent Bond movies (by that I mean for the past say 15 years) except casino royale which was ok but not better than Bourne. Possibly had a bad influence on the people behind quantum of (lets not bother with a plot) solace.

I like the fact that no matter what the situation Bourne is always one step ahead, even in the chaos of a fight scene or a car chase he always manages to regain that one step ahead.

They're great, but piss me off because once I've watched them I start thinking I can fight like that, and I can't.

I think shakey cam should be banned from all forms of camera work with some possible exceptions like during explosions. During quiet scene when characters are just talking you just want to strangle the cameraman and director.

Me and my GF were saying this exact thing when we were watching Bourne, Bond sucks dick compared to these.

I can't say i hated any of the 3 films i really enjoyed them

Hmm, the two recent Bond films are MUCH better than the Bourne stuff.

Having read the books of course gives me a bit of bias. There was little if anything of them in the 2nd and 3rd films.

Do you think Shakey Cam is an excuse for not having enough moves to show in a fight? I guess it does space it out a bit and they can just sip a cup of tea or smth till you can see whats going on again.

I enjoyed it (quantum) for how purely dark it was, great action.

I found the first Bourne film quite a dull and predictable afair. The second was better and felt like a proper spy thriller. Third was best of the lot with some actual tension and involvement.
