So my colleagues were like: This game rawks your sawks, it totally reminds me of Zelda, etc.

Just bought it, played it, died 3 times and quit.

What a pos, can anyone explain to me why this game is apparently so critically acclaimed?

Probably should've added that I died 3 times in 3 hours, finished 1 run but just can't seem to enjoy it

Now this on the other hand... this is truly old school repetitive gameplay that induces vein throbbing rage.
And I love it to bits.

Still undecided if I like it or not. Played it for a bit, after I got it in the Steam Sale and not touched it since. Will go back to it eventually.

Put another 2 hours into it and I just can't get myself to like it.

I'm liking the difficulty sure, but it's just massively RNG'd, RNG'd to the point that you can either get lucky in your first cave or are fucked for the whole run.

Meh, I'll give it another shot soon

Right, 3 more hours and I still can't get myself to like it.

Game got a bit better as soon as I started using a controller but it's still really bland. All it has going for it is RNG and enemies that keep getting more and more retarded towards the end of a run. (Hi Ikaruga)
