as daft as it seems I actually went back to AO just to have another look especially as it was a free trial.

It was interesting and I enjoyed it to an extent but I'm not convinced the connection issues are sorted - pings of 300plus don't make for good gameplay besides that the place seemed baron and all the nightclubs were empty, so I cancelled and vowed never to go back.

I'm pretty new to the MMORPG scene,
however, excepting the last few weeks, of DAOC, I've been pretty darn happy with the game as a whole.

I'mm willing, for the moment to put the lagginess of gameplay down to the general state of the communication corporations at the moment.
Since everything was fine before the Worldcom and KPNQwest mess started up.

So, yeah I will continue playing DAOC at least until my 6 month subscription is up (in about 5 months)...

After that, we'll see.
If the lagginess is still occurring and/or the development of DAOC doesn't look good, then I might switch..

Also, if, from what people are saying, the servers start looking deserted (like less than 600-700 people at peak time), I might move onto a more popular game. As for me, a big aspect of the game is the multiplayer community.

AO is faster than DAoC, missions there are more fun then plain exping, so it's not that bad - and casters deal a hell of a lot of damage without being cut down like a paper doll :p (now, THAT is kinda cool for me :D )

However, grafix in DAoC are still the best and I just love the chars, scenery and Albion landscape :D

Plus, tbh, I think peope in DAoC are generally nicer, although there are some jerks here like everywhere, and I met nice people in AO too.

Still, I basically prefer DAoC, after all :D

You level up faster in Anarchy Online, which I like, but their level cap is 192 or 196, so it kind of makes up for it.

The boring part is that you do the same thing through the whole game except RvR. Err... FvF :p

In DAoC, at least the quests varies. Especially the epic ones.

lot ov ppl play daok just cuz the market is poor atm...

no real mmorpg arround n most ov the best project fall bheind the marketing needs...

shadowbane was a good project... but producer ruined it to release it fast n with the feature they though the mass would apreciate more... sb = crap

star war galaxies was like a dream comeing truth... but producer n other shit has ruined it again adding n cutting core stuff
now xecpt the name ha notthing similar to the orriginal project

n few more died like this...

rlly wish to see something new... somthing good not n item playtime based game...
with maybe 10% ov the land non pvp but this 10% should not be hunting ground...

cant stay without a pc since my job require it...
