I've made up a list, to get the best combination of equipment to get the +75 item cap on int, dex and con and to have as much resist as possible, here is the list:

Well, if you have any suggestions, tell them to me maybe i can change an item for another to get more resist, the stat caps are reached, so you can drop some dex to get more resist, just need to find the item and you need 110 Diamond Seals to buy the DF items.

no way, you have far too much gone over the caps for con suggest you take off 2 of the rings / bracers and get yourself a resist one like the bracer of veiled eyes, but i dont think we can get that one.

Cold is already far over cap and +fire isnt really that needed, and the con/int/dex stats are easy to get, matter is a common resist too.

That's all i have to say about the Fire Imbued Gloves

And there's only a Fire Imbued Gloves and Cap, nothing else

I couldnt really find good resist bracers/rings.

And not everyone has the ichor, its not too hard to get, but it takes some work to get it. so the bracers can step in if you dont have that yet.

also, quick note to all those after +fire, acron the wizard TL has said constantly +fire items are worth less than +int / dex as going over 50in fire 9with + items) will just make you consistantly hit your level cap... which at 50 in fire you would anyway. so +fire is a bit of a gimp really. i have full faith in arcon, hes one of the best TLs it seems.

Great idea Teador, thanks for researching all the information mate its very useful for us hard done by wizards

One thing I would say Myshra is that raising +fire helps me a hell of a lot hitting red and purple con mobs much more consistently. I usually switch items in my inventory based on what situation I'm in. If in RVR I will go for dex/int/con and resisits, if fighting high level mobs I usually sacrifice that for +fire items.

I don't know if thats any help, but it seems to work well for me. I found when hunting Witherwoods (starts twitching at the memory) with a nice +fire of about 7-10 levels I had hardly any resists.

I would imagine a wizard maxed to lvl 61 fire might hit a high fire resistant enemy in PVP more as well, but its just a theory...

actually got a suggestion to your first list, your jewel is not really needed as you have been capped with int, suggest you use a Stone of Evil Emanations jewel as thats 4% resists x 3 (cant remember which ones) and also +27hp, i think (well im wearing one anyway)

he chose the symbols of loyalty i feel because it has +con??

my setups gonna be almost the same as yours, but with the differnet jewel, and i might hang onto my ghastly rings of bone over your ones, depends how i cap out / how quickly.

oh, and a hear the friar staff with the dex / qui buff can be wielded by wizards, so i might get myself one of those, also theres a neclace with a dot on it somewhere? might get one of those, but i doubt it will be useful.

Hmmm..... there's a jewel from DF too it has 10% Body and 10% Cold i think, and something else, i'll take a look into it.

And the INT is 82, that's 7 over cap, the jewel does +12, so if you exchange it for something without INT then INT isnt capped anymore

would make sense as my cap at 44 is 197int, which im over by 12 atm :/

no your cap is 209, your base is 95 + 39 = 134

add the 75 item cap to that, = 209

Oh, and the jewel from DF:

No way am I giving up my Bone Angled Bracers, the +4 to Ice and Earth they give me makes a big difference to the variance on my nukes and seems to make my PBT much harder to pierce. Some damn fine cloth on your list though

i was thinking of:

-Belt of Netherite Dust
This is dropped from cyhraeth and has some Slash resist and other stuff, i saw it once on gamebanshee just before it got payed, never saw it somewhere else, still found nothing with farming cyhraeths

-Stone of Evil Emanations
yeah well, i got most of these resists maxed already, and $5 isnt really great, the DF jewel has 10% Heat 10% Body which seems more valuable to me.

and WTF is a Belt of Barbed Scales??? ive never heard anything from it

i changed the equip, it's got less rare items now, a bit less hps but much more resists.

Initially it looks crap but then you realise that after a certain point HP > all other stats. You might also want to include this staff :

Which are those then? afaik there's no better cloak than the Afanc cloak.

And there can be "better" items but ive searched this out to have stats capped and high resists.


And the belt of barbed scales doesnt seem interesting, it's way too easy to cap int, which makes the merchant belt (+67 hps) more useful, but i rather use the resists belt.

The staff seems nice with the 2 focuses, but its int again and no +fire or +dex and not a resist either

I think just 50 Fire is all needed, i almost never use ice spells and you only notice the focus when you cast 10 of the fire spells in a row, i only cast my 2 shields once, so i dont really need earth staff might be useful if it had Ice focus instead of Earth, but i wonder if there's such a staff.

Anyone not maxing + HP is missing out, for sure. It's not hard with DF items, so go figure Resists are a pain, but frankly 200 extra HP will do more than resists as often as not.
