Okay maybe the other news companies piss me off too, but this in particular is directed at the BBC because it's where I personaly found out who wins the Australian grand prix.

It was on at like 4am this morning which isn't really a reasonable time for me (and many other people) to watch it so they repeat it during the day. Anyway, the BBC inisit on posting the thing over the website and news so I end up finding out who wins before I watch the damn thing.
What ever happened to 'look away now' on the tv? I remember football results were given out like that, why not formula1 :(

Grr. Really annoys me, cause I look forward to watching it.. it's exciting to see the race, but not so much if you know the outcome before they've even set off :(

The BBC piss me off because it's always:

Programs about war (there are always programs on about fucking war)
News about war
Programs about doom
News about doom
Programs abouth death
News about death
Programs about how ill people are
News about how ill people are

There never ever seems to be any positive news, maybe i'm naíve and perhaps the world is all war, doom and death.

For example - how many "death/dead/kill/ill/war" stories can you see on the Scotland news home page? I can see about four at first glance.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/default.stm

Edit: and surprise, the Ni home page is "death/tragedy/crime/kill" - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/default.stm

So, you didn't know the 'news', you then went to a 'news' website, and now you're complaining that you know the 'news'?

EH?

That's what I thought at first, but then I thought he was maybe just sort of being conversational. Like saying, "I fuckin' hate it when I find out the football results before I've seen the game", to a mate - where the obvious answer would be, "Don't fuckin' watch the news or TV beforehand then." But you know, reading between the words, that they're just making conversation really, mentioning something that niggles them.

Heh, same thing happened to me. I'd Sky+'d it so I could watch it over breakfast, but I had to drop my Ma off at the train station first thing, like a fool I turn on the radio in the car - right in the middle of the sports section :( although Xfm take the blame rather than the BBC (not me your Honour, oh no). It was worth watching anyway though.

I like the BBC's programs as a rule, far superior to ITV's offerings , and dont rven get me started on the American cak they offer up (with a few noteable exceptions).
Cant stand thier news reporting these days though :(

Thats because its the only channel you can get in bumpkinville. You still think the only Sky is the big blue ceiling above your head.

ITV truly is a travesty, the only thing I watch on it is the occasional euro football, and my Poirot fix of a Sunday night.

Fat Belgians do it for me if you must know.

I do agree with the fact that there are not enough happy stories like some guy saving someone, the news companies prefer to tell stories of a guy killing someone because in this day and age it draws peoples attention more, though I have noticed recently that Points West does have a happy story every now and then but the main BBC news is all doom and gloom.

if its not that its about bloody celeb's I really don't give a crap what someone famous is doing on there holiday or who they have slept with.

guna stop myself now cause I will prolly get into a rant and start to annoy people.
