Today in Gorre i decided to see if rally a warden can hit like a man, i respec my 43 warden to:
- Nurture : 36
I only wanted the 8seg bt song
- Blades : 39
Combo lv39 with attac speed reduction is a great combination with the bt song
- Regrow : 9
I only need the end song, im not a healer


firs : The 1on1 usually was a Branco Wins, perfect
Really the Warden is a warrior, and people uses to select him as a healer when his really power is in his defensive streng with be bt, ok warden dont do great dmg, but in 1on1 poor dmg is better than no dmg that is what happens whit the bt, so when i was just thinking in begin another char, warden surprised me
second : 2 weaps clases and minstrells are the weak point of a warden
thirth : Res bufs rocks, resist messes and dds from skalds and minstrels and dd from thanes was really cool
four : Who in the hell designed the new icons, omfg what a colors

i dueled you with my armsmen on gorre "Galaed crimson/silver colors" the duel was very close and it came down to me needing 2hits and u prolly needing one hit to kill me "u were orange con to me btw"
nd i didnt get my slam in "idf i had u woulda been dead" but your bt was a pain in the ass and i missed slam 2-3 times and also missed a few styles hence ended up being basicly me just boinking u with no end ,

heros i didnt have much trouble with at all . i had more touble with champs and skalds . mainly cos of crush dmge vs my plate and also the champs debuffs and skalds dd's/mezz
skalds would just dd/dd then mezz rest for pow and dd timer be beack then carry on . beat a few skalds but most skalds were a even match . hard to tell with most duels because lots of lower lvls were running arounf buffed to hell . dueled a thane 3 times 1tst 2 times he barely scratched me due to my slam/whack whack combo and i was virtually full hp before i backed off . 3rd time he must of had buffs cos he beat me and he hit a lot lot harder and was left on nearly full hp whilst i was nearly dead shame some folks cant duel and lose without getting buffs to regain some honour "if thats what u can call it"

with saying that though i did have some buffs at one point fro a good friend who respec'd his smiter ench and he buffed me to see how i did in duels with lvl con or oj and i kicked ass . but then got killed by lvl50 when i was sat down. hence buffs dropped and i didnt ask for them again cos i wanted to test my spec and not just pwon with uber buffs, after all thats what gorre was for to test respec

Aye, it was a lot of fun, nice picnic in bowl I really liked the fact that we were all there without trying to annihilate eachother on sight
Anyways, I wanted to see if I could solo a minstrel with my new aug buffs, so I came up against Gallway. Unfortunately, he "cheated" and sent his goborchend pet on me:-P
Also tried champion, and I was really impressed by the damage he did with his dd, and also his large hammer, even unstyled. He owned me I'd like to go there again, damn shame they closed it down again. It's something you will never see on the normal servers. Even heard the dragon was out in emain))

imo a minstrel using his pets is not cheating .. its one of his skills he is awrded and therefore imo good to use . its like telling you that u cant insta stun/mezz and heal yourself . or telling a zerk/hero not to morph . or a tank not to use slam. if a class has a particuler skill imo by all means use it . dueling is to see how your class fairs vs another and imo if your unable to use ALL the skills you possess "maybe ra's aside" then u are not showing the full strength of your character .

Battle Wardens

Agree abotu the warden they can be actually ok tanks as long as they use is to get hit, not to hit.

I don't like to see wardens run to ennemies in RvR especially if they pop mezz (or my snare grrr) as they have no slam/stun style and won't be able to finish the guy in a fast enough time, but when the warden starts to heal (even if the heal are not much), the real use of his heals is that he'll draw one or two tanks on him thinking let's down the healer / bubble and it will really take them a long time to bring him down.

Thus for us tanks (and especially champs that are more "adders" than main tanks) it's much more easy to save an engaged warden by picking tanks off him than bards or of course casters.

Totally agree Cucer, dont brake mezes, try to hit what others are hitting and heal, a bit, are the funcions of the warden in rvr , is a hard work but someone has to do it

I'm currently specced nurture 47 for best haste, best dmg add and best bubble. Blades 39 for spectrum blade and nice dmg variance. Regrowth 20 for nice heal and good res. Parry 14 for the rest of my points. With 6 sec bubble, haste and blades 39, my dmg output combined with defensive capability is actually better than most hybrids. Wardens are weak to magic attacks, and fast hitters. Somehow I also have a hard time taking down friars. I take out most other 2H people while hardly taking any damage. With mastery of parry, mastery of pain, thornweed field and resist buffs, a warden is quite a fierce opponent both in groups and solo.

Also I'd assume it's fairly easy to run up behind someone and smack him with annhilation (assuming you're LW). And that normally means death to the person on the receiving end.
