Last night was one of the best keep defence efforts that I have ever been in. Absolutely awesome in fact. So what exactly happened?
Ahhhh! Take a seat, this may take some time...
It all started at around about 9 pm GMT on Tuesday night. Looking for a little bit of action and trying to avoid emain at all costs, a number of middies decided that paying a quick trip to see our friendly neighbours in Albion was in order.
You know the sort of thing.. Knock on the door and see if you can borrow some coffee or sugar or perhaps the lawn mower.
Well we decided that we'd move into the the fabulous Renaris luxury development.. totally illegally of course. So claiming squatters rights we sat to wait for the Baliffs to arrive to kick us out.
Now we had heard that there was a large force of albs in our own back yard, and after disposing of a nice force of Hibbies not once but twice on the way, we ran into some albs near Eras. A quick ganking later we heard reports of a large lemming like effort in our own frontier.
So we were a bit nervous as we approached Renaris. Excpecting the Albion Uber Zerg (AUZ) to dispose of us with all due haste and efficency.
Well it didn't happen, much to our surprise. So we Beat down the doors, turfed out the current landlord and setup shop.
Then we waited.
As it was getting late a number of people suicided or logged, so our numbers began to dwindle. Just as we started to encounter some albs a mass wave of LD's took a number of people offline. Some didn't return.
So it was that the remaining Middies decided to stick it out and see what happened.
We weren't disappointed.
It developed into a fantastic brawl.
The intial defence of the keep was a good battle of Inf's v SB's. Our SB's did a stirling job of keeping the 2 shammies and the frail old Sm alive. By the time the first door was down we had been fighting for a good 15-20 mins. The defence of the second door took a bit longer.
By the time the Second doors came down the middies had retired to the Penthouse apartment where Jarl Renaris was entertaining.
So the nervous middies awaited the onrushing Baliffs.
After a long and heated discussion on the stairs the Baliffs were kicked out. However it left the Middies with just a handful of able bodies. Our 2 shaman went to work.
By the time the Baliffs returned all were on their feet again. Once again a prolonged and heated discussion about squatters rights was held on the stairs. Once again the Baliffs were sent home.
This happened a couple of more times until finally we were kicked out on our rear ends.
The battles were fantastic.. Albs got a number of kills and so did we. Rp all round
A huge Grats goes to all the middies that hung around and defended the Keep Lord until the bitter end. It was a pleasure to fight with you.
To our glorious enemy a bigger grats for coming back again and again and again until you finally kicked us out.
To all involved a hearty thanks. It was a fantastic late night battle and one that I hope all enjoyed.
