The anxieties of Archie Cannon​

My name is Sophia Harper. I am umph...seven.
My best friend at school is Archie.
He plays piano.
Granny tells me I am the best girl in ten empty streets - despite what Archie and his great talents.
I do not understand what Granny means when she says that.
But Granny always gives me sweeties when mummy and step-papa Jean takes me to visit her at weekends.
Archie is my best friend in the whole wide world.
We even play games on the internets together when not at school!
I...I am not sure. But Archie came into skool one day and he would not talk to me.
His legs below his trouser shorts were all covered with brooses.
He looked very sad. He wouldn’t tell me what had happened.
I heard someone say of a boy that made Archie drink piss from a Tango can.
Perhaps that made him sad. I heard it was an accident by Archie.
My friends and me found that boy, pulled his hair, and spat at him.
I don’t like horrid boys. Wot we did was right.
That boy said he would never hurt Archie again.
But when I next saw Archie, he was still sad.
He would not talk to me.
It makes me sad and I want to cry when Archie won’t talk to me...
