The queen mums procession was superb, and has decided my view on the royal family. Their great and the UK wouldn't be the UK without them, especially liked the way that the crowd spontaineously began clapping when the royal party set off back home.

I feel all patriotic inside.

I'm not a royalist, but the queen mum seemed to have a wicked sense of humour, and I'm fairly sure no member of royalty has ever beaten me up, crashed into my car, vandalised my car, prank called me, ripped me off, borrowed money off me that they've not returned, slagged me of behind my back or tried to pull any of my boyfriends.

The general public are shit.

Not as scary as a bunch of scottish steaming at you screaming wearing skirts though Throddy, that would shit me up.

No because you express your moronic view at the wrong time and in the wrong thread.

Damn good question.

Speaking of patriotism, why the fuck has Blair decided that the Falklands campaign needs ignoring on its 20th anniversary?
Oh, I remember, coz he's a spineless fucking political no-hoper coward.

I bet if the Falklands situation blew up again, he'd do fuck all about it, partly because he can't do anything unless half the worlds politicians say so.

Anyway, Queen Mother procession; saw it, very well executed, very appropriate, very nice. Even felt a twinge of much needed pride. Thank god she was around in WW2.

Saw it live on Fox news, bizarre though to see it with a totally American slant on things. Surprisingly they handled it pretty well, no real dumb comments apart from constantly calling her the queen mom

God it was good to see a bit of good old pomp and circumstance, makes me proud

Nice to see Kez's guides working then

*sighs*

On a lighter note I watched it and thought that it was very appropriate and there also seemed to be a lighter air surrounding the whole thing, which personally I thought it was good. The Queen Mother seemed like a person who loved life and loved to laugh so it was nice to see people celebrating her life aswell as mourning her death.
