Thanks to the Mids that helped take Eras last night 11.07.04. Uk Mercs Asked for help From Our Alliance, so we would have Df, for a while. But hay none turned up except a load of mids. 3 - 4 fg's.
to those Mids THasnks for the Help. to all the Albs in the Fellowship Alliance.

Thanks. Made my Case with in UKM and the Alliance Stand in good Stead.

I don't really think its that alliance in particular, there is, and has been, a general apathy from all albs towards taking/defending our own frontier (and to some extent emain and odins). While not having any relics to defend is no doubt partly to blame, I think the main problem is simply that people have become too RP horny. If RPs aren't involved, most of the players around these days don't want to know.

Worst example in question was a couple of weeks ago. My group of 7 took Crim from the mids, but we didn't have an 8th member so we couldn't claim and start upgrading it. Despite me asking several times in the emain cg for just 1 person to make the long and arduous journey from amg to crim - all of 2 minutes away at tank speed and less than a minute at mincer - no one came. As a result, 30-40min later, after repulsing one attack made by a fg of hibs, Crim was retaken by 3fg of hibs and DF was lost (which we had opened up by taking Crim). Oh and this was prime time as well, about 8-9pm.

Its not your alliance, its the realm in general.

We have no relics, so CBA to defend/retake keeps. Its been that way for a long time now.

If anything your alliance is probably responsible for more than than their "fair share" of keep retakes.

I'm sure flaming your alliance will make you plenty of friends who'd just love to come and fight NPCs in order to let you go and line your pockets in DF.

Whenever I am running around our frontier defending or retaking keeps I run into groups from Fellowship alliance, usually lead by The Ministry and/or Humberton Guard.

Maybe just this once they were busy doing something else. Posts like this will not encourage people to help you the next time either tbh. If you are unhappy with an alliance the person to speak to is YOUR GM, if you are the GM then type....aaargh no wait can never remember the damned command to leave an alliance.

Funny, I thought the moral was for albs to generally help their realm instead of waiting for the prized outcome [DF - although scroll pharming is faster] and then moaning etc when they lose DF?

Having access to DF does NOT help the realm. It increases the amount of gold in circulation which leads to higher prices. Compare prices between the realms for proof if you really need it

tbh I have no serious concerns with the Fellowship at the moment, I beleive Draylor is absolutly right the problem isnt the alliance its the realm in general.
Owning DF doesnt benefit the realm but nice to have, allows cash and rp farming when clearing out enemies.

We have had some good groups in the last week i must admit, took beno with a UKM/HG group the other day. I guess at this particular time everybody was busy doing something else.

Tbh, i coulden't give a toss whether we had DF or not. However, letting the other realms run rings around our own keeps in our own frontier to me is just a kick in the nuts whether we have relics or not. Peoples motivation seems to be more geared towards rp's instead of actually fighting for your realm.

ehr, I do, when I need cash. And a lot of other albs I'm sure. Scroll farming may be fast IF you get the scrolls, at least in DF you get a steady seal-flow (more or less). Not all albs can clap their hands and get an insta Deep Volcanus guild farming group, or a DR group or whatever. Not just because TOA arrived DF isn't good anymore.

Read Draylor's post and then you will see. DF is bad. Witness the prices in Midgard, the premier DF holder on Excalibur, and you shall see the effects of an inflated economy.

LOL the fellowship alliance has done more for the realm than UK Mercs ever will. Just because you ask for help taking a keep and no one turns up you think that is a case for flaming a whole alliance? Get real mate. But hey, good luck in finding a new alliance if you feel you need to spit your dummy out over something trivial like this.

No, I do understand compleatly. For me though some of the best times ive had in this game has been defending or trying to take a keep, you get rp's plus you get the fun, what can be better?
Im not here to convert peoples views though, im just hoping NF will give people a reason to actually partake in keep battles instead of farming for rp's in emain.
