Thanks for the Corpse Summoner back

Got zero respect for a realm who hold a clear population advantage yet still zerg everywhere, be it early morning relic raids, Emain, milegates (in all realms) or keep takes.

With your numbers, why don't you have the courage to do prime time raids? Don't just point the finger back at Hibs (who still got zerged by Albs in the recent early morning raid), look at yourselves and ask why the cowardly tactics?

Is having the relics ahead of the 1.60 changes so much more important than your pride? Actually, don't bother answering that one, I know it'll just be "someone got owned" - well you can't "own" an empty server.

Ah well, at least we got the Corpse Summoner back and can have some fun with it. CS > no relic bonus and it's not like your tanks hit hard even with +20% bonus. Alb mages are another matter, glad the relics are the wrong way round.

CS farming won't be that great come 1.60...

CORPSE SUMMONER CHANGES

Corpse Summoners are intended to help retrieve relics - some players are using corpse summoners to camp out in keeps and simply defend it, gaining Realm Points all the time. This had led to a situation where some Realms actively do not want their Relics. We're making two changes in this version to incent Realms to want to keep their Relics and to not over-use their Corpse Summoners.

1. Characters who are defending their home frontier against invaders with a corpse summoner in their realm will now receive a 15% RP bonus for each enemy relic they currently control (Up to a 60% total bonus) to recognize the added difficulty of defense in this situation and as an additional relic reward.

2. Characters now will not earn Realm Points in the 30 minutes following a resurrection at a corpse summoner.

So please come to Albion and create some Corpse Summoners, the RP's will be nice for those that defend the homeland :)

Still it might help you retrieve the relics so only time will tell....

Oh by the way..
LINE OF SIGHT FIXES

- Necromancers now must be visible to their controlled creatures to perform "pet cast" spells. This fixes the exploit where Necromancers could park their pets in keep towers and wander around outside, and have their pets cast at the Necromancer's target

/point /laugh at all the FotM necros

Well yeah it's a new class of course everyone wants to play one.

Just like all your Animists and Valewalker, everyone has at least one of those.

Actually there's relatively few Animists and Valewalkers around. Has rather surprised me. Animists are hard to play and Valewalkers are currently a bit gimpy (getting some love in 1.62 hopefully). Not seen many Reavers about either, which is surprising or maybe they just blend into the zerg more ;)

The popular SI classes seem to be Necros, Bonedancers and Savages.

ROFL can tell it's a long time since you've been anywhere near Hib. There's 4 lvl50 Animists and 3 lvl50 Valewalkers...

...Compared to 11 lvl50 Reavers, and at least 20 lvl50 Necros, probably more, around 20 lvl50 Bonedancers, and around 20 lvl50 Savages.

Grats on perhaps the most unresearched comment ever to reach Barrysworld. There are more bonedancers, necros, reavers or savages than there are Animist and Valewalkers combined.

Where did i say lvl 50's ?

whether it is a lvl 5 char or lvl 50, no-one has the right really to whine about other having a so-called "FotM" char, because at least everyone has one.

Btw, the xml updates for prydwen are *sort of working* i dont know how regular it is, but seems to me considering the amount of people complaining about necro LoS abuse, I would expect to see loads of RR5 necros, erm but there aren't...maybe over hyped? Or like mine, its mainly used for cash farming.

--- also from patch notes

Pets of classes such as the Enchanter, Animist, and Bonedancer (and any other class that can cast offensive spells) will not be able to cast spells on a target unless that target is visible to the pet. We expect this fix to take care of the LOS issues for Enchanter-type pets most of the time, but players still may run into situations where the spells are cast even though the pet cannot "see" its target. We will continue to work on this problem as needed.

---

I dont want classes nerfed, i just want decent code in the first place. Looking forwards to 6 months of 'my house is bugged'

Yes, everyone has tried out the new SI classes, of course they have. Most people I know have tried out at least one of them (I've only tried Savage myself and only to BG level).

The point is this. Very few people have seen it through to 50 with the Hibernian SI classes. This is because Animists are difficult to get to grips with (but are a good class) and Valewalkers are not that hot (though the scythes look cool).

There's no getting away from the fact that Necros are the #1 FOTM character. Lots are getting to 50 now and Thidranki is FULL of them on both Pryd and Excal (Bonedancers too). Interesting to note that the plan for the relic raid was to have a Necro carry the relic. How FOTM is that? We'll just have to see what happens post 1.60.

As for Chanters, they're hadly FOTM anymore, more like FOTY :)

as for complaining at non primetime raids.

perhaps if hib had not started their "we're SOOO underpopulated" 7am relic raid on excal on friday morning there would have been no need for a morning retaliation to get OUR spear back...

To be honest there is nothing bad about early morning raids. It's allowed and if albs got enough people for it..

Sideeffect of that is, though, lose of respect for a realm, that has to do that even if they have superior numbers.

When Midgard raided our power relic, they started at primetime and just keep going till most of hibs went to bed :). Something wrong on that? No, they just were more dedicated for that and kept trying.

Albs did some good raids in primetimes too, but somehow early morning raids happend, AFAIK, more often. Prolly they are afraid? :)

respect?

I seriously doubt any Albs give a shit if anyone does or does not respect them, I dont agree with early morning raids (never been on one as I like to sleep then!) but every realm does them and every realm has an excuse for doing it.
