Thank you for a smooth release thus far.

Well I thought I had better make a post to say thanks to the guys and gals at GOA, for :

A. keeping us updated (a vast improvement on there earlier mediocre service)

B: seemless validation and email of game codes.

I was for one dreading release, having never managed to play UK beta as I was never actually able to get my code to work that I got from Freddys.
After much fuss I finally managed to get an account registered but my cdkey was already registered...

So I played US beta and found it very smooth and quite relaxing, I even considered cancelling my order to play on the US servers.

Still I am glad I didnt , everything so far feels smooth and lag free. My only concern is if I make a character and do level it to 80 and the servers become full that would annoy the hell out of me queing, albeit this is a game issue and not GOA related. My registration was easy and trouble free for both my wife and I.

So it seems the poor communication and the bad memorys from some parts of DAOC maybe behind us ? either way keep up the good work GOA your making some amends to your earlier slack performance.

only problem I had last night was that after a couple hours, I lost all spell effects, was no longer able to see any indicators above the npc's, would be fixed by a simple relog, but seeing the queues you really dont wanna log out once in

Aww man, are these the X-factor style queues or post office type queues?

I have to add my own thanks, honestly I was totally skeptical about the chance of you succeeding here. I still remembered you from the days of the Prydwen database debacle, and that experience was one of the main reasons why I didn't want to join WAR. That, and your horrible communication skills at the time, hopefully you've levelled a bit here too :)

I hope I'm not going to regret giving you another chance, as I'm sure many do here - try not to ruin this game too, ok ? I might even pardon you for having left half my daoc account naked and poor, if you really really behave ;)

Seriously: good luck :)

Any chance you could give your GoA contact at play.com a ring and find out whats happened to our headstart codes? They are just fobbing off us mere mortals.

Do that and I truly will give you thanks and praise :)

Do we really need all this c**k sucking...?

We paid for the game... That should be enough...

Shheeeesh.. I don't know some people...

They already gave us the extra 7 days for the balls up....

Do you thank the train driver for not crashing the train when you arrive at the station?

Lets not blow smoke up their arses just yet...

Next time I shop some milk and bread, I'll be sure to thank everyone for keeping the shop open during work hours.
