Thane RAs?

I've been away from game for about 3 years, and just come back this week to try out ToA, Catacombs & DR so I have a lot of catching up to do! :)

Spotted that my LVL50 Thane template had been completely reset, and have re-trained all my skills, but can't remember for the life of me which RAs I used to have.

Anyone have any suggestions for best RAs for R4L7 Thane? (50 axe, 38 SC, 42 Shields, 10 Parry)

omg... why axe ?

sword is the best atm

RAs.... well aug str, purge 2, mybe IP2 if u dont plan on grping much

I like axe :p It was never really FoTM when I was playing last, either, but I didn't like playing FoTM templates anyway, so it suited me. Thanks for advice tho'. IP rings a bell as something I had, or was working towards, before now.

Thanes now have a fantastic proc on ragnorak , so yes you will go sword. Otherwise you may aswell never have gotten thane love and run around still getting owned .

Ok well, I was Axes for the 3 years I played before I quit before and enjoyed playing the character as she was, so.... :) Also, I was kinda asking for advice about RAs, not criticism of my template based on your own personal preferences (when I notice you don't even have a Thane on your signature char list...)

hard to tell from freddys where u cant see ppl irl :p

but id say go sowrd, just u will do alot more dmg whit sword styles whit the new procs.... specially the ragnarok... :D

I have played a thane solo and group fyi , there are quite a few characters I dont put in my sig . Ive been around a long time . I didnt break for a few years ^^ Also I wasnt talking about how to spec your thane in totality, Valkryies also get the same sword proc which I have also played. I mentioned nothing to do with your template? Didnt even know that was a topic . Just said, that Thanes were always in need of love . They have no charge , and no banelords. The one thing they FINALLY got after years is this and you are not going to chose it . Thats my advice.

On the RA side of things , wasnt sure if you intended to be solo or grouped .

If you choose to be solo then Ip 2 purge 2 mob 2 are a must ( do u intend to fall back to ure shield if getting hurt or is it purely for slam ? ) if you intend to fall back to shield then I would advise getting mob 4 and try and get the 11 shield in ure template . If not then you can drop the mob2 and have 7 points left to play with . static tempest 1 ( no point putting more than that in , very few soloers and if I fought u more than once I would be ready to grapple cb immune you and move next time u did it ) also general passives , aug quickness so that when buffed u come close to the 250 cap , rest in toughness etc .Ip 3 is not worth it , not even at higher realm rank for soloing . Just more passives .

For group as u have no charge, you need det 4 ( det 5 maybe at rr 7 plus ) purge 1 ( everyone is using purge single root these days as a 'strategy' ) static tempest 1 ( its all u really afford at ure current realm rank , might want to consider boosting it to 2 at rr 6 ish ) You got 7 points left over again , quickness cap is recommended but down to you . later on when you can afford it in relam ranks , you will probability opt to live over to kill , meaning u will put more and more points in toughness and avoidance of magic rather than killkill ra's . No mob is needed for grps . If you can get the gutulak great shield ( my spelling is wrong but ) for ure thane . for slam its a large shield and its only 3 speed which is absolutely Uber . On my thane I had a small shield for slam speed and a large shield to swap off to for blocking multiple enemies if needed ( by the time multiple enemies are attacking a thane , chances are the casters and healers in ure grp are dead already so .. not that big a deal but I had it anyway :p )

Dont go sword if u wanna solo imo. Axe if u want 50 but no slam... or 39hammer and slam. So stay axe, get a malice and let them think sword if fotm :)

Rofl...what would u know about playing a hybrid (especially one without an ML line)? U think the whole point is spamming ML styles,usually at the confort of your doorstep with a couple of 'friends' around. (which frankly requires so much endu from all other classes so that they cant be spammed, hence wardens being able to spam them should be an issue that needs re-evalutating after the shield patch).

Do I even need to remind you I found you doorstepping, BG'ing your own bot or?

And those "friends" did not intervene with our latest fight and you ate dirt (again) without hassle.
