Thane Race/Weapon/Shield?

wtf, who tha hell even thinks about going to rvr with a thane?
only thing they are good at is tanking (warriors are better but wth)

I use my Thane in RvR all the time - thane is damn sight more useful than a Zerk, Warrior or Skald in keep defence. Pretty much is more useful in keep sieging too - dont see any other viking class (other than SBs) able to do much about defenders with ranged attacks.

Not so great at emain style RvR but then thats not really RvR anyway - its running round in circles trying to build up points.

I dunno much about thanes but it really seems like trolls are the best thanes. And the spec 42 sc, 44 weapon, 42 shield, rest in parry could be nice since the thane bolt sucks anyway

Pve im grouped with my bot.
Rvr is best since shamans are not often found. And the 41 buff equals the 36 shammie buff, now most of the shammies i know have max 32 for the group end, so its worth having.
And yeah my spec is messed but thats what you get training when drunk
Thanes are most flexible is zerg vs zerg situation and keeps. I have heard way too many times warriors and zerkers complaining that they dont do anything other that sit or bash some wood, whereas a thane can kill those archers interrupt a mage trying to get a dot etc.

Also, my thane still has epic armor and my hps are at 1430.
Dwarf warrior in my guild in his epic has 1560. With the buffs we will come close to warrior hp when solo.
