thane or champ?

What is seriously best in bg AND rvr? Champ or thane? Cant choose :>

In battle grounds i'd say a thane, those 2 insta dd's do hurt, but for big boy rvr i'd go with champ, the debuffs wreck havoc with buffed opponents

I dont know much about thanes but here goes champ in big bois rvr

-Rip away MANY stats from your opponent.
-RR5 ability(which is just uber) < this would make a decent champ win vs any thane
-Access to Banelord ML path
-Annihilation
(This is LW spec btw)

My view on Thanes! (just MY view)

-An fusion between a decent tank and a bad caster.

Champ and Thane is good in their defferint ways ...

Best way to spec champ will allways be high valor and LW imo.. Thanes are more a shield tank really.

Champs have insta dd's and awsome debuffs, where the Thane have 2 insta dd's (1pb), dmg add, and then nukes which is only good to interupt casters with. Both str/con buffs

But those 2 classes are really fun to duel with imo and especially against each other...

in bg's/rvr later on you wont spam that claw to often against a tank.

better get some defense and debuffs active

vamps in bg1 dont require allot of skill tbh. target some1.. power bolt it... if its a tank (with power ofc ).. get HoT up.. and spam claw.

and against casters even easier

Did Duel a Champ with my Zerker.. Both buff and it was a good fight.. got me to 25%hp..

Thanes are Good class's tbh... Nowt like them at 50 Slam then Cast is so funny

Champs silly debuffs are a pain but i think Thane > Champ..

I'd say thanes and champions are kind of even in Thidranki at least. A large weaponry champion can choose between 2 different damage types though, which makes him a bit more versatile. I'm often complaining about my crush damage when fighting scale/chain oponents .

About even in thid, but champs are far better in rvr. Then again they are very different classes in rvr, whereas in thid they are both just "hybrid tanks".
