Well, im getting toa soon and just curious about what path to chose.
What good and bad sides are there with Stormlord and Battlemaster(i think?)

And why should i choose exactly Stormlord or Battlemaster. Think BM has best group-utility. But well, would be nice with some help :)

I'd agree with you Battlemaster is probably best - apparently a lot of the stuff in Stormlord is bugged/usless.

I've chosen Battlemaster for the time being, even though bodyguard is imo bugged in conjunction with spellcasting.
If Warlord had been an option that would probably have been my choice. I would have liked to have chosen Stormlord, but indeed it seemed buggy and difficult to control to me.

I'll be trying to get my hands on a Star of Destiny though, just in case I change my mind.

i'm going stormlord in the hope they sort it out, but then again I'm always one for being stubborn, i think all us thanes are! I think we get an automatic respec later on anyway when getting ml9 or something.

I took one look at Stormlord and saw it had "Static Tempest" writen all over it. Unfortuantely, we cant spec "chocolate teapot" ML, which i hear is more useful in RvR and PvE, especially with the GTAOE spell, "Puddle of fudge". Although I hear this spell only works as we run away from a fight and not during.

Once again Mythic tried to fool us to beleiving we are casters. Oh how wrong...

note: I dont care, i still lurve my Thane!

I think some of stormlord will be useful situationally, the pow and end drain clouds do stack apparantly. THe end one especially is equivilent to end regen 4 or 5 in it's reduction so in mg and keep fights this will essentially cance;; out end regen for people attacking you which could prove interesting. I love my thane and I'm glad they are putting some work into it finally. Hopefully the RA review will sort out the disparity between Det and non Det classes.

For now though I feel i'm at my best in keep fighting and I think stormlord will be fun to play with in this environment.

Sure, the other ML has better utility in grapple, etc, but I don't think they are going to allow us to cast again during the grapple so it's pretty much sacrificing oneself to take out an enemy.
