Just wondering if there is a tool to convert .tga files into respectably sized .jpg files without needing paint shop pro?

you can download acdsee free from here. once you have it installed just browse with the acdsee browser to where you have your screenshots and choose to convert them. you'll get a query about the type of file you want to convert into and then you just choose .jpg since they tend to be the best gateway of quality and compression.
