TG Raid 06-06-03 (This Friday)

Title says it all really, Gonna try to do a nice little TG hunt With intent to kill everything possible till we wipe.

We'l start by going right killing the mobs down there, depending on numbers we might attempt the griphons/shard-skellie thing. After that we go back and follow the normal route and kill councils and icelords, the emphisis of this hunt will be on collecting as many TG items as is physically possible (i wanna set a record )

Meeting: Hagal
Date: Friday 6th June
Level Requirement: 45+ for all classes (FYI - the requirement doesn't apply to guild groups, but i would ask that guilds try to keep their groups at the least 40+)
Leaving At: 18:30GMT/19:30CET

The lotto will be done as follows...

All items will be given to me (Archeon) that following all items will be (with their stats) posted on the forums. you will have ONE Vote, all votes MUST be done on the forums within the alloted time. After that we will gather at an set time to /random 100 for the item. Only people who used the forums will have their /random taken into account, so no signing up for the item = no chance of getting it.

The only restriction on voting is that you have to have a character (45+) that can use the item.

If your unable to make it to the lotto at the time its set then please say so and select a friend or preferably guild mate to come and /random for you. You will be responsible for making sure you, or a friend will be present at the lotto as well as making sure that i'm aware of it (preferably stating it when you choose which item you bid for)

Any items that are not bid on, or for some reason don't get lottoed off will be sold publicly on the Barrysworld forums and the money raised donated to the alliance funds.

Important Details

1. Ok, as some people might have noticed i've been looking for an Icy Great Hammer for some time. So this time, should the item drop i'l be claiming it for myself. However since i try my hardest to be fair regardless of whether the hammer drops or not i will not participate in the lotto beyond handing out the items too the winners (that means i don't get a vote in laymens terms ).

2. If you do somthing i feel warrents it i will disqualify you from the lottery. Note, you'l be warned first if your doing somthing i feel is out of line. E.g. Flaming sombody if they make a mistake.

Thats more or less it, any specific questions please ask. Sorry if their seems to be a lot of rules and stuff, i want to try and run this hunt with a little more structure than the last one i did. Oh, one more thing. Sorry about all the use of formatting and stuff, just wanted to highlight all the important stuff... that and i wanna show off my 1337 5K1LLZ0R!!!!

Like it says, i'm getting a TG raid going with as many people as possible so we can clear the entire dungeon if possible. All who want to come are more than welcome, if you've got any questions just post them here (don't msg me ingame because i'l just tell you to bog off in as polite a manner as my mood allows )

one thing, when you lotto, will you please list who's what number on a given item. So it doesnt seem like your just taking the winners out of thin air?

example:

the severe headbasher, 3bids

#1= Jony
#2= Jay
#3= Hoe

then you do /random 3.


as in you list em first with who is which number, then random.

Nah, i don't like that system. It leaves people with questions and leaves me open to the possibility that i might have somhow rigged the lotto (which i was going to do, but since you pointed it out i guess i have no choice but to be fair )

Anyway, it works like this...

You post what item you want, and when the lotto comes you /random 100. the person with the highest roll wins. Personally i like the system because its less chaotic than the normal /random 100 system and lets people see what they can roll on 1st.

Anyone that can think of a better system, i'm fairly open minded so by all means explain it too me and i'l give it some thought

Change this to only level 50 and the class you come with, this way the people with one million alts don't benefit from it. "nice axe i'm gonna roll for my level 46 skald who i have not played for six months and then test it some on some grey mob before i log him for another four months".

Also in order to take part of lottery you should be forced to stay entire time or you will see people entering tuscaran glacier then go and take a beer with his friends and return five hours later demanding to take part in the lottery

Anyways just some tips i have done several tg raids and see a 45 getting a uber item makes nobody happy.

ooo mids do lotto differently to albs... as there is so many of us all we do is whoever wants the item does /random 100 highest wins, if two draw then those two do /random 100 again.

Archeon's rules work fine, that have been tried and tested many times before.

Make it lvl 50 alts. ppl have to many high lvl alts.

Or you skip the whole thing and make 2fg kick all the councils, or 3 fg all councils + most icelords and jailer then you got alot of items for 24 ppl to lotto.

With that system the chance that you will get any item is so small it's not worth spending five hours there imo.

Salute for arranging a raid Arch.

Even with this "only 1 vote" system, I think you should have more limitations on rolling for alts. It's still unfair that the ones with a bunch of high levels should have better odds for finding something they could use on the droplist.

This may take a few extra minutes at the start but this is what i suggest. Only people that show up with healer/shaman/pbt can roll for 1 pre-selected alt and then they loose the opportunity to roll for the one they showed up with.

Idea behind this is to make it so everybody only has "1 char" and therefore all will start on the same page.

On the other hand. If people show up they have to accept the way You want the lotto to be done. It's after all your raid. Good luck

I agree with nott in many point, that only thoose who comes with a shammy/healer/rm-pbt (support classes 45+) can roll for a lvl 50 alt. for the cause that supportclasses is needed in a raid. but those who show up with a tank - semitank class (like me) only can vote for a item they can use. and not roll for and alt. thats my thougth, and it sounds like the most fair and even way...

if you want a good mix of chars on raid then i surgest you alow rms/healers/sm/shamans to nominate a lvl 50 alt
or you end up with to few healers and casters as almost all healers these days has at least 1 lvl 50 alt

as for that remark from wraithofsoren

raids start late take 3-4 hours ppl cant stay up the entire raid due to work or to school if thay are there for most of the raid and stat thay need to go thay should be alowed to go for drops ppl cant say yes ill be there for all of raid things do happen ppl do leave

The problem i see with that is that theres a chance people will only bring support classes (wouldn't that be interesting )

Still.. i'm inclined to agree that support classes are usually in short supply (especially pbt runies). So i think i'l go with your suggestion that you can only vote on an item that the class you brought can use, expect in the case of support classes (by that i mean RMs/SMs/Healers/Shaman) which can vote on an item for an alt they have providing it is lvl 50.


BTW, yes Wraith i agree it would probably be better if i just got together 2-3 balanced groups and killed everything, but then not everyone that wanted to come could come (a small chance of getting an item is better than no chance in my opinion ) also if you get a bad pull you have a greater chance of surviving with more people (I speak from experience when i say i've yet to go on a TG raid in which every pull was perfect and everything went the way it was supposed to

damn 14isars and their drinking... why cant they realize that they are not cool when they are drunk as hell and barfing in every streetcorner... that is if the cops dont take their beer be4 that happens
