TFT monitors and DVI

How much better a display do you get using the DVI interface on a TFT monitor instead of the analogue interface? My brother has an iiyama anologue TFT and the picture is nice and razor sharp, but i'm buting a new computer this week which has the new GeForce FX5900 Ultra which has a DVI socket. I can buy an Evesham machine that comes with a Viewsonic 19inch TFT with DVI but i prefer an LG non DVI 18 inch screen (asthetics that is no other reason).

So is the increase in display quality, if any, worth the £50ish difference in price for the monitor?

My tft screen is using the DVI output, but i havent noticed any difference in image quality... apparently its supposed to be "better" though.

Although all the image controls - brightness/colour etc is handled by the graphics driver and not the monitor in DVI mode.
