Hello Peeps,

I've been looking around for a "text only" html coverter, it doesn't matter if its on the fly or does it all at once. I have tried Betsie [Developed by the BBC] but it is based on perl and I don't know perl and it's hard []

You mean like something can converts one letter to another, or something that turns an image into pure text?

Hmm, i think he wants something that converts text content in html, to something suitable for a plain ascii file.

I would have thought, it would just be a case of removing all html tags(<xxx>), removing all line breaks(\n), and then changing all html breaks(
) to perl line breaks(\n)...

Allthough, you site the bbc webbeh... Do you just want a plain text look, IE basic html? Tbh, i prefer that style for alot of sites, over image obsessed bandwidth hogs
