terrorist weapons for a newb

hey all, im new here at bw. i have just started playing cs, and i cant aim to save my life. was wonderin, what weapons do u guys prefer to just run around emptying clips into people with? the ak47 looks good, and by the way, i need a terrorist weapon, i can stand the ct's. c ya

Well weapon choice depends on the map to a certain extent, for instance I would say one of my favourite Terrorist weapons is the SSG552 (rifle number 2) but if you're on as_oilrig that's not available

Generally I would say experiment with all the weapons - they all have their uses and everyone has their own favourite weapon that suits their playing style. Develop your own style, use what feels good to you, learn to use it well but never neglect the other weapons - you never know when you'll be forced to use an unfamiliar weapon in a tight situation

I like using the xm-big thingy shotgun.

Useful in tight spots when you need to dump a shed load of rounds into something very quickly.

Weapon choice depends on map, how you're playing, how the enemy is playing and how your team is playing. I tend to favour the USP pistol, MP5 SMG (used to use P90, crap with it now though), and SIG or M4 rifle. Have some sort of mental block against using an AUG. If you're anything like me you'll go in peaks and troughs as well - one day you'll slay anything that moves, the next you won't hit a barn door at 50 paces. When this happens, try changing your gun and doing something a bit different - god knows how many times I've been frustrated with my inability to shoot straight with an M4, tossed it in favour of a MAC-10, and started annihilating everyone.

The Mac 10 was the best sub before they raped it in 6.5 The aug or the sig are by far the best weapons in the hands of a skilled user, they shoot where you point them most of the time. Pistol wise, don't use any other bar the 228, before 6.5 it was amazing, i know now it's lost it's semi auto fire, but it's still by far the best pistol, much better than the desert eagle, i belive they put the punch back into it, in either the 7.0 or 7.1 release. If you a DM guy and your backs against the wall, eg you gota work quickly in bad odds situations, then buy an MP5, you can do anyone at close, medium range, last saturday i was playing dust, it had to be the worst teams ever, the whole CT team but me got slaughterd, it was 10v1 i was holding the back bomb site (the spawn one) i stood at the entrance so i could watch either side, so i couldn't be flanked, and i made a massive stand, i was just taking down heads np's they were comming through in two's so i had plenty of time to reload, i got eight of them before i caught the head shot myself, the mp5's is the best wep, for short burst's to the head by far, it's 100% spot on no matter what you do it with

Also AK47 is tremendous,

just practise with all the weapons, tap fire button instead of holding down, hold for 3-4 shots at a time, just try different methods with each type untill u find one that suits ur style of play.

1 - AUG
2 - AK47
3 - SIG
4 - Colt

actually kurt, the USP does more damage than the 228,+ you get the added silencer

You can't run around with the Ak on full auto, it looses aim very quikly, it is beter if you fire 1 or 2 rounds at a time then the recoil doesn't affect it as much.

Once you get it to work right...

Ive said it before... (obviously not here) and i`ll say it again. AK-47. OK...it may be innaccurate over long bursts but if you are a good aim and you get your 2 - 3round bursts sorted then on a good day you can annihilate anyone...Sig has a nice zoom facility but i always find myself caught in zoom with that...and a better shot with the ak..

ak is the perfect all rounder,you can snipe with it,and when theres a shitload of CTs in your face just hold down that trigger,its perfect for up-close situations.
the auto-shotgun is ok for a kill but you will usually get caught on the reload if theres moire that 1 CT

The best weapon by far is anticipation.

A low ping is always a good one to have as a secondary too.

For a newbie the best weapon on CS is the flashbang. It never misses.

I would not recommend smoke grenades to Newbies because of the widespread devastation they cause.

I recommend newbies go to Friendly Fire servers. They can try out their favourites weapons by killing each other! Bring back the strength of the Knife! It used to be one of the best weapons until they tweaked with it aroundabouts beta 4 or 5!!!
