when i saw terminator 3 and it did a flashforward to the future all the robots had laser guns etc and i think it was like that on terminator 2 aswell. i was hoping for something really futuristic but once i saw the trailer i didnt want to see it i saw that night at the museum out sold it to when they both came back aswell so i thought it couldnt be that good.

awww I thought the T:Salvation trailer looked like it was going to be a really good film and make up for the clusterfuck that was T3. Seriously...I feel so sorry for the people who were in that "hay I'm in a terminator film woo!! then it turns out to be the most asinine movie featuring a cyborg since the abortion that was cyborg 2.

That's really got up my bum now I was looking forward to that.

Ah well there's still The Hangover to brighten my day \o/

Might have watched it in the absence of anything better to do, but read the plot on Wikipedia and seemed like aload of highly convoluted junk (unlike the first two).

Saw it lasnight myself and i wasnt expecting mucn and it kinda blew me away...I thought it as brilliant. Having said that i never botherd to watch T3 but i thought this was really good...Thought it pissed all over Star Trek which everyone seems to love so much.

Well im a big fan of the first 2, love them to bits. I went into this with an open mind, not expecting too much but thinking it should be good. It's set in the future, and we've already seen the future in the past films so it shouldnt be too hard to do, right? Wrong

The acting is shit. I don't know how Christian Bale went from Empire of the Sun and American Psycho to a croaky throated keanu reeves but he's managed it. The rest of the cast was even worse. My love of Kyle Reese has been successfully raped.

The only plot twist is revealed in the trailers, so are most of the best action bits.INFACT the last fight scene is almost exactly the same as the one from Terminator 2 but they just made it worse. To be fair the CGI is actually pretty good. But personally i prefer films to use CGI to augment to plot, not just build a film around some nice CGI.

This film has no suspense, no emotion, no plot and no point. Most of it didnt make much sense. If you like pointless explosions then go and see it, otherwise don't bother.

That'd be fine if it was a new idea and a new film. Obviously the fact that T1 and 2 were so good changes that.
