true, but it took telewest about 5 months to get to my area after they annouced that the would be installing cable. Telewest do ISDN but its more of a business service and it's more for my dads business anyway, (honest).

As far as I am aware Telewest have no plans to launch an ISDN service for residential customers. It is available currently though for Business subscribers.
Cable Modems on the other hand have been rumoured to be launched between March and end of Summer 2000.
As soon as I hear more I'll let you know

NTL are rolling out cable modems as we speak (well, sort of)
go here, ( http://www.ntl.com/cablemodems/soon.asp )and it gives approxomate dates for them reaching your area (whoop, Cambridge next month)
however, beware the "Dates subject to change" in the small print.
