I’m living in Dublin with no Sky Sports in the house so I’ve signed up to their broadband steaming service so I can watch the Ashes highlights program then next evening. Now I can steam to my laptop (a new Dell Inspiron 6400) with no problems but what I want to do is use an S-Video lead to output the laptop display to my TV. The problem is that when I do I get a black and white picture which is fuzzy at best…. Basically it is un-watchable.

I’ve checked and my TV card drivers are up to date, the lead is new and I’ve checked it and it is not broken.

Anybody got any ideas as to what may be wrong????

You'll get a greyscale image on your TV if you have selected Composite signal instead of S-Video, and the other way around. Make sure you have picked the right setting. I think you can change the signal type on your TV and in your video card settings aswell.

Sounds like wiring issues and / or compatibility / interference
