Mids camp amg with a zerg, albs need an even bigger zerg to get through, when albs get through albs go camp mmg. Ping pong ping pong.

You shouldn't be able to target the gate and cast spells on it.

Problem solved. I don't understand why you can select the lower gate and you can't select the little doors upstairs.

Should put a masonry skill in the game so we can brick up the MG doors and keep you mids/albs out of emain :p

Would make rvr interesting, ram down the walls to get into the enemy realm first :)

Or, lets just stop camping them, i know it sounds abit extreme, but it is possible to fight without the advantage of a milegate.

i think they should rethink mgs, not really get rid of them,

maybe add climb points for assassins on the attacking side, or add another gate.. or something.

dont give climb points as half the albion and midgard zergs consists of assassins :p

Climb points for assassins.. yeah make it even easier for that class.. the point of mgs is for a realm to defend it self from attackers.. defending its boarders .. its a good thing really prob is its not used for defence etc.. its used for ganking..

It always struck me as strange that you have a very good wall and the doors were always open.

Milegates are supposed to be a defence against invaders.. so if that is the case why not make them like Keep doors? To get into an enemy realm you have to knock them down with a ram. Stick a Commander in the Milegate tower so that you have to kill him to gain possesion of the Milegate. Then you can get a realm wide message that will tell you that a milegate has been taken. Maybe even have Milegates listed on the realm list.

It would make the defence of the milegates more important, add more fun and the Zergs would have to be a bit more cautious.

Look at your own people from Albania. They seem to have rooted themselves to these gates.

True Gombur, but you can make the MG's a bit more open and exciting...

This is what I would do...

1: Make the MG doors full length so you can't see peoples feet underneath them.

2: Make the MG doors like a keep door, however they are at a set level. That way you could repair them but never upgrade them.

3: Put a couple of guards and a gatekeeper on the doors.

4: Make the MG itself bigger, For example.... have two doorways between the MG doors that lead into the MG itself. You would then have to do away with the stairs on one side of the MG and put them inside it. Have a second level of rooms that overlook the MG doors with Arrow slits and windows for casters. The stairs would lead up to the battlements that would offer protection to the defenders from both sides of the MG. This would spread the defenders throughout the MG as you would have to defend both doorways.

5: Offer the attackers more in the way of cover. How about some low walls to sit behind, some trees for snipers to hide in, boulders to run behind etc.. Yes the defenders have an advantage but give the attackers something to hide behind. It would make it more interesting than waiting for the current zerg to come charging out.

6: The potential for three way battles is even greater!

Just my 2p's worth really.

I do think that if you take away the MG's you'll still have the zergs, it will just mean that they camp the PK's instead.

As if assassins need more advantages. No, not a very smart soloution.

2-3 gates would be better.

Make it that the MG's have to be beaten down. Are L5 gates, and auto repair every 2 hours. Also, have a large force (20+ L55 guards - mages, healers, tanks) spawn every 4 hours, and patrol from MG to MG to help the defending realm remove zergs.

Something like that.

tbh milegates just suply a great camp spot ( Im suprised they didnt add a camp fire )
remove them and people might accually have to use *shock and horror* tactics to perform good in Emain RvR.
and a camping zerg will not be as safe as they are atm.

Wouldnt just turning the milegates around fix the prob?, as then if mids or what ever was camping amg, albs could go on the balcony and kill from there

Afraid you lost me there. Camping a milegate IS a tactic. It can and at least in Odin's on good days is rather better excercised tactic than one sees in typical mobile ganksquad.

What is your problem with it actually? That it is boring? Tell you what. Hunting for a couple of stealthers in Yggdra with no true sight and no SB, for hours, without any chance of finding the bugger. That is boring. Intercepting them at amgo is, compared to that, exciting.
