wheee got a totally unexpected day off

the fantastic dutch railways have managed to have a total power outage in and around the city of Arnhem resulting in no trains going anywhere woo
This, as you prolly guessed, is terrible news....NOT!

So, I is suddenly faced with nothing to do but you, yes you too can have a body like...err I mean you can help me decide how to fill my day.
Firstly I'm going to have a coffee and a sarnie [BLT].

First thing to do is go back to bed. That's all I want. Stayed up till 2am playing RtCW last night and 1am the nights before that playing Black & White.

sure I could have made it if I pulled all the stops, but I didn't as I'm a lazy bast aiiii. actually, I swapped a day-off I had coming up for today to make my escape back home.
you know how it is, waiting at the station together with a zillion other peeps for a train that never comes any bus/taxi arriving is instantly full up. I thought fsck it and buggered off home.

I'm really going to push for placement here in Arnhem tho. Been commuting to Amsterdam for nearly 4 years now and it's starting to suck

well tbh, I'm half Scots, half Dutch [lethal combo that ] and have been living here since I was 10. After studying photography I bummed around a bit till I got a job in IT [very logical heh] working for a large corp. all IT control is based in Amsterdam so gotta commute every day

funny thing tho: my [IT] dept. has a geologist, a taxi driver, a photographer, an environmental specialist [wtf is that lol] and a painter. nobody studies 'pootas these days

I did philosophy but that has a limited career path so I moved to IT
