Taxing a van without log book?

Gonna buy a van. 1.6 Astra Van. She's a beast.


The guy is waiting for the log book to come through. Said it can take around 2 weeks. But i want the van like yesterday lol.


Anyway of taxing the van without the log book? If not ill wait for a fortnight.

You shouldn't buy a vehicle without the V5 log book because you don't know exactly what you're supposed to be getting. You might expect to get a 1.8 diesel and instead get a 1.6 petrol.
Put it this way, unless you use the tax disc reminder to tax your van, you need the V5, insurance and MOT to get a tax disc.

I'd wait until he gets it. Mine only took 4 days to come after applying for it.
