Tartaros Gift encounter

I dont know what we are doing wrong when we are trying to kill the high priest, maybe someone here knows...

Today we where 3
Tank
caster
seer with powerfield and all

Tank ran in and bodypulled the HP and backed so far the HP would follow, and seer / sm stands even futher away. so far so good.

This is what i read we should do. And u shouldnt get any salamander adds or very few atleast.

But we still get adds. Sometimes 2-5 and sometimes 10+ and before u have been able to kill them, another zerg of those evil salamanders come
Way to hard for 3 ppl to handle even with power field.

Are we doing something realy wrong here? ppl i spoke to who have done this say they did just like we do and didnt get adds. We have tried maybe 10-15 times with different setups and still gets salamander adds.

seems Mythic thought ToA wasnt enough of a time sink, so they fixed the Tartaros encounter to make it harder to require additional hours in PvE for players

2 ways of doing this encounter in alb.

Matter cabby + 3-4 BoF cleric bots

2fg with lots and lots of ice wizzies to cope with the summoned salamanders.

Might as well get used to the zerg it and pray tactics though as next patch High Priest Akil cannot be pulled off his pedistal thingy.

Get a pet that can be focused, get a healer, HOT healer is best as no agro, buffbot too..
Might also need a class that can cast confuse on sallys, but othertimes you get lucky and hardly any come .

Just focus pull it and confuse sallys if too many..

Berserker
Boot Shaman (no fields what so ever tho lots of powerpots and pox charge)
Dark specced SM

Heres how to, might help someone.

We went around that circle and body pulled him out in the "village".
Berserker and shaman where grouped and pulled him out while SM ran around and killed all mobs in the village (couse the 2 first times when he CFH there came allot of mobs)
Wasnt that hard realy just meeled him down and when he CFH (again around 35-45%) no one came, poor fellow Not even salamanders.

You can do it on alb easy.
FoP rejuv cleric, pally, reaver.
X-guard and protect, then move to the circle where theres a gap in the portal wizards (there are 2) run to pad, aggro mob, run back out, pally takes aggro, reaver melees and guards, cleric does fop at max range and heals. When you get adds reaver has to get them before they get to cleric, and then kill them while pally holds boss aggro.
Was very easy when we did it and didnt get a single sala add

actually, it's with 3 people, but then again, we're just masters of inventing ways to do encounters, like we did battler with 4 people

thats 4x the number of people mids can do it with (max lvl too i believe)

would love to see you doing tartaros with 3 people....

could have done battler solo btw but that takes BLOODY AGES (and impossible if the battler has killed a cleric, unless you get lucky with his healing rate)

well ok at least you also need some form of healing for battler, but we dont have bone*****

am i right to say one cleric two shield tanks (one pally) can do the encounter if the one who wants the staff is in a bg with em and standing nearby and pulling any adds :touch:
