TAC2 IS ALMOST HERE

Yes, the wait is almost over.

28th Of July - The date is set.

The brand spanking new Official TAC2 Website is now online.

All new information, pictures and details for the avid TAC2 fan. Drop by and have a look, you will NOT be disappointed. Mondo thanks to Wizard and Ciggy for the new site.

On to the fun stuff

To celebrate this momentous event, Hangfyre and Kristof from the Australian Tribalcast Network's TACCAST crew will be Shoutcasting a Demonstration Match at noon < EST Australia > on Saturday, July 28.

During the Shoutcast we will be presenting an interview with the entire TAC2 DEV Team - Santa, Smedly, Wizard, MT and Iron Chef. Yes, the entire Dev team will be answering quesions. If you have questions for the TAC2 DEV team, please either email it to tac2comp@salubrious.net or Tmail Hangfyre or Kristof. You may submit as many questions as you like. Questions should be submitted no later than 5:00pm Aust EST Friday, July 20. People listening to the Shoutcast will also be given the download address of the TAC2 Client Pack before it is posted for the general public on the Official TAC2 Website

We are also running a special competition to be a part of the action and play in the Shoutcasted TAC2 match. Yes that's right. Some lucky people will be allowed to download the TAC2 mod BEFORE it's released, and join us in the PUG game.

So, wanna be the envy of all your friends? This is how ya do it.....

Your submission can be in any form you wish (under one megabyte), as long as it can be emailed. You have until Wednesday 25th July to have your submission emailed to

The lucky winners will notified be emailed by Friday July 27.

Submissions will be presented online at the all-singing-all-dancing new TAC2 Website

2. Winners who re-distribute the TAC2 client in any way prior to the public release on the TAC2 website, will be indeep, deep @#%$.

TAC2 Servers

Why no TAC2 servers on BW?

Theres no shortage of TAC2 servers, NGUK has 2, and there both empty almost all the time.

The NGUK and NGI servers are both running the old version (.42) and don't look like they'll be updated for some time yet

Ah yeah just read the post in NGUK forum.

Still i think BW should go its own way with servers and try out the renegades mod if it must do a mod server.

Map rotation needs to be sorted also. I dont mind Recallacence and Thin Ice but the server always loses a large amount of people when it comes up.

BW & TAC2

Barrysworld where the only servers to support the original TAC (Tribes1) for a long time so I feel they should support TAC2 too!

With NGUK in a state of ... i dont know what the fuck is going on!
BW should take advantage and set up a TAC2 server! Just to see if it will be popular... come on you guys!
