T1 Vs T2 - Not an issue?

In the history of online gaming, one thing has been certain. If a sequel to a classic game comes out, the community is instantly torn to bits by huge arguments about how the new game compares with the old, which is more 'professional', which allows you to get the air movement to rocket jump to the right platform etc etc.

It has struck me that in reference to Tribes 2, there have hardly been any such discussions at all. Does this mean, despite the griping about the patches, people really just think it is damn good? I must convince I haven't played a game as much or as intently as Tribes 2 for years, not even CounterStrike.

Anyway, if this thread does nothing else, hopefully it will help some closet T1 fetishists to reveal themselves ( hopefully with the help of long streams of invective ) and so restore my faith in the arch bitchiness of gaming communities

T2 is a different game from T1. T2 is slower, more vehicular, more tactical. T1 is a lot quicker, not buggy etc etc. In essence, two different games, so they can't be compared in that sense.

Yeh, there different games almost.

While I could cap on Snowblind in 6 seconds in Tribes 1, I need a bomber, a shrike, a fucking parking ticket and two havocs to help me before I get near the flag in T2. All at the same time. In Colour-Coded Skins. With the wind behind meh

But seriously, capping will be no-where near as quick as Tribes 1, therefore making it a different game in my eyes.

P.S - Still looking for a T1 tribe, if yer interested, call meh

lots of biatching does go on, people compain that it is TOO team orientated and they liked being the lone wolf. Others don't like the fact that the heavies in t2 can't ski too well (in t1 with enough skill they could go faster than a light)

personally i think t2 is a lot more balenced thann t1 and the gameplay can be very fast when the right tactics are involved .

MY clan has been ripped in half by it.

Half refuse to loose faith in T1 and continue to play it.

While myself and the some others have moved on.

Its caused us to effectively have 2 clans as the games just dont mix.

Im one of the "I uninstalled T1" guys cause to be honest it all just feels pretend when I play it now.

Both games exactly the same one has more Bells and whistles than the other.

same style of game just T1 does it better
