I meet all the system requirements which is good bar 1 which is my graphics card. Its a 256Mb Geforce 6200 and all the spec's needed for the card are met easily but my card is not listed as supported. Do you think that i will still be able to run the game?

Video RAM: Required - 128 MB , You have - 256 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 2.0 , You have - 3.0
Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 2.0 , You have - 3.0

Only the card name/type is not supported.

I had a similar situation with DAoC when i 1st came out my card was not supported but was fast enough to run the game without any issues.

Thanks.

In my old DAoC rig I had a 6800GT card and it ran WAR just fine, but I wouldn't depend on it in RvR situations.

Try this one out: Can You RUN It?

...and select Warhammer Online almost at the bottom of the drop down menu :)

Thats what i have been using, t says all the parts needed for the gfx card pass but the actual type of card fails it. Now i did the same thing for Bioshock and it fails the gfx card for that too but i can run it fine on medium settings. So i am in two minds.

apparently I'm fine with everything except pixel shader 2.0 support on my gfx card.

I'm willing to take the risk tbh, my laptops been great for every game I've wanted to play so far, and I dont doubt it will be fine for WAR

I will prolly run at min to medium performance anyways like i did with WoW makes pvp more manageable. So as long as it runs then saves me upgrading this tin can i call a PC. Will be buying a new PC soon once i have saved up a little more cash. Hopefully when i reach 2k i can afford a half decent Alienware. ;)

You will be able to run the game, but you may have to have the settings on Medium instead of SUPER OMFG!!!!

I think you will have no problems what so ever, even tho you maybe can't play it on "super hottie" mode you will still be able to play it on "pretty face" mode.

Glad to hear it. As long as it runs smoothly and game play wont suffer the graphics will be lower to suit the speed of the rvr at the time, so huge RvR situations will prolly make me drop graphics to low while small skirmishes will keep me at medium. ;)

Its all good as long as i can run it. My card explains to myself why i was never invited to closed beta, not supported so cant play i guess or i am just unlucky. ;)

Still the CE beta starts soon and i have my CE pre-order box sitting on my desk just waiting to be used :D

bollocks to that I say, I do have all the stuff needed, even pixel shader 2.0, it even says radeon 9500+ is supported and mine is 9700
but still I fail on the requirements for Graphics card reasons.
Bleh!

good point about missing the beta because of that Derian, thought it was a bit fishy!

My brother found a ATI Radeon 9550 256Mb that he will let me have so hopefully it will register that as compatible if not then i guess will just have to wait n see.

Yeah i was thinking if you did not meet the system requirements, as they see them they are set in stone even though the card i have will prolly play the game no problem they are not interested if you do not show the things they are after. In my opinion they should let people that don't have good cards into see if the lower spec players can manage the game, lots of people out there that don't have fast OMG rigs and i am one of them. ;)

My card apparently dosent run STALKER, but i've been playing it 2 years on more or less max settings, so its a bit confusing. I dont think its true that they only let people play with uber rigs, but just that ours are particularly non-uber :D

Yeah i struggle with Bioshock sometimes but still seems to run somewhat fair. Guess its just wishful thinking that registering for beta ages ago i would of gotten an invite hehe.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaah, my machine can JUST about run it XD It passes above the "Minimum" line for most things other than graphics. I just need to update my GFX card.

(Socket A mobo, running at 2.09(single)GHz, 1gb DDR ram ;))

SO what spec do u need for "SUPER OMG!!! ?!

The truth is that no one knows, but if you get a computer that can play Crysis on max settings with FPS over 100 then you will not have any problems I guess.

Better yet if you can play WOW with maxed settings you are good to go with WAR.

tbh I would just renew it completely then :) I've done that at least, and I must say hardware prices dropped alot in comparision with the past... it's cheaper and ofcourse alot faster

I will buy a new rig by the end of this year to cope with the large scape RvR at 40. But my current rig will run well for the lvln and some skirmishes to get me to 40. Will take my time and enjoy everything that WAR has to offer, whilst hopefully kicking arse along the way on the side of Destruction.

i think it was posted on the warhammer forum what the minimum system requirements are and what the optimal system requirements are allong with a list of supported video cards, but i can`t recall if that was on the closed beta forums or on the general board so i am unwilling to type that info here out of fear of breaking NDA.

i also think that discussing the performance of the game is something that falls under the NDA and as such i can not talk on anything but the closed beta forums from GOA itself about my impressions of how smooth the game runs on my hardware , which is a sempron 3000 (rating, 1.8 ghz), 2 GB of ram, with an ATI 9600 pro vid card with 128 mb ram running windows 2000.

maybe IainC could give us some info on the system requirements and the list of supported video cards.

The basic systems requirements are posted on both EU and US websites, but they only give information on what they consider the supported cards.

The question i asked originally was whether or not my card having everything needed to run the game but not being supported on the system requirements Mythic/GOA posted could actually run the game anyways. I had a similar issue when DAoC 1st came out but i was able to use a none supported card up until Shrouded Isles expansion was released, which was their 1st graphics engine upgrade to DAoC.

My bro is mailing me a Radeon 9550 256Mb which should be supported so there shouldn't be a problem if i can't run the game with my Geforce.

I think you should be fine with a card that has everything needed to run the game. I think the only reason they write specific cards on that list is because they tested the game with those cards, that doesn't really mean a certain game won't work with it.
