System req?

I've been thinking of getting SWG since the big crash (don't you think August 26 will be the September 11 of MMORPG's? :lol: )
but I don't know if my comp can handle it. It's a 1.4 ghz 256 RAM with a 32 mb graphicscard, think it'll do?

It will still run, but more ram and better GC would prolly make it run better

I tried to run it with 32mb gfx and 128ram and it was unplayable.

Got 2nd account running on a AMG1600, GF2-mx400 and 512 ram. The Inventory spinning is killing the grapics, having inventory & backpack and datapad up on the same time is death.

But apart from that, the game plays fine. Just the annoying animation stuff you cant turn off.

Gonna steal my dads gf3-ti card and see if its better

Turn the GFX settings all the way down and it will play, but you will get bad network lag, particularly in cities.

I would suggest more RAM would be the cheapest and wisest investment.

Also depends on the quality of your 32 meg GFX card, a top quality 32 meg card can outperform low-end 64 meg cards.

P.S. Whats the deal with August 26th? Was that the date that GOA got hacked by a 7 yr old?

SWG launch and Anarchy Online launch is good dates to hehe, only bigger MMORPG game I know had a smooth launch was DAoC, both EU and US.

Ah nice... it's a Nvidia graphic card so it should run okay... otherwise I'll just get that extra RAM... thx for the tip mates :lol:

And yeah, August 26 was the BIG crash day... saw some screenies from the incident, quite funny if it wasn't so tragical all and all...

new gfx could allways be good but what ALOT of people forget is that you cant upgrade the cpu,ram and gfx forever and that it finally isnt they that makes the games unsmooth but the moderboard that is slow.

Im running on my now ageing computer.

1.5ghz P4.
768 SDRAM.
GeForce2MX400

I have most of the settings turned down low and it runs fine, only thing that bugs me is when i have multiple inventory windows open the animations of items slows everything down quite bad, thankfully this can be fixed a bit by changeing the sizes of items when displayed in invent.

edit : and commando weps kill my computer if im cought in the blast

and my game is running ok, sometimes 1 sec delay in AH when there is more than 100 peeps

running all 50% or 100%
