mmmkay... here's the scenario.

Athlon Thundbird 1200 mhz
512 MB SDR PC100 Ram
Geforce 3
Windows XP Pro

All working with SI, hunky-dory, never had a problem until a master boot record error forced me to do a full reinstall yesterday.

Downloaded/installed: Directx 9.0a, Latest Nvidia Dets, Latest Via Hyperion 4-in-1s.

Since then, as soon as Shrouded Isles' GUI loads up - game crashes. I mean, really, really crashes. Either the system spontaneously reboots itself, or the game just keels over and dies in front of my eyes, usually 5 seconds after loading the GUI.

Have since tried several Detonator Driver versions, several Hyperion driver versions (using the more recent drivers actually forces the system to reboot, older versions seem to just enable it to crash back to desktop...).

Any suggestions? Cos I have nfi what to do now.

Is it a fresh install of SI? I have my games on a seperate partition to my OS.
Might wanna try a fresh install of si too, as it could be something in your user config thats causing an error.

If not i had a similar problem with my system after a reformat, i plugged away at different nvidia drivers until i found one that gave me stability back :l in my case 30.83's :l

Yep, tis a fresh install of SI on the same partition as the OS (80gb 7200 RPM Maxtor, or something)

I've tried the 30.83s too, no luck :(
