I finally got my graphics working today

im doing a meaty download so in an hour or so i will be able to log in again

after about 10 days of withdrawl and computing nightmare i did it.
Still the sound card doesnt seem to like Xp (or vice versa) so its going to be awfully quiet for a few days unless i sort it now....

still glad to be PAing ya all again cya around.

if its not a soundblaster trow it in the trash...sorry to say tis but i seen peopel with uber sound cards with built -in what not..but they just tend to conflict like mad.. The only soundcard you can be sure just to smack into ya comp and be up and running sec's later is soundblaster, and I dont care if you yamaha or what not soundcard has of extra features..if you not atleast a semi-pro music making silly git you wont have any use for it , and it will make you nose bleed trying to configure it for games

it is onboard sound card.
so SiS one then not uber in the least...
should work with default settings after the driver goes in hopefully...

No for real, figure out how to turn if of and go buy a cheap SB card , what ever you get its better than onboard.. Onboard any kind of card is da EVUL !!!!!

onboard sound doesnt have a bad rep for nothing, but as far as good sound cards go there are a lot more than just soundblaster.....

did u know that a sblive! on full effects and channels will eat up a almost third of your processing power?

Hmm I didnt say you had to get a sblive with all the gizmo's and what not , a pci128 will do just fine. Yeah and i know there are other good sound cards out there likt Terratec and such.. But the peopel I know with these SC's allways end up with driver trouble of some sorts, and I have yet to have a problem with a SB SC

Since when does a sound card govern Graphics?

anyway i cant get Direct X to work with my device driver....
The card still doesnt work with Xp
and im still not playing Dark Age.
