sword bug

Since the si instalation of the game my legion sword apears bugged with a wierd graphic, as right now is currently down I cant ask them about it.

So I was wondering if anyone elses legion sword is not giving its normal glow affect or if anyone knows if the sword apprearence is bugged this patch

I have tested it with my pc and handed it to a friend who has a good graphics card, the sword appears bugged to him also this seems most wierd and I hope the graphic can be sorted.

Any help most appreciated

I only have one glowy left, the deathmoon rapier i use for bashing keep doors, but the particle effect has definitely changed in the SI client. Original on left, SI on right :

I have no idea if it's a bug or intentional.

Dunno but found this some min ago on daoc site

Some players with a GeForce 4 reported that they were unable to see the new water effects. This is normal if your card is of the MX series. Only GeForce 4 Ti (4200, 4400, 4600, and 4800) can display the water effects fully.

and you have it with other swords 2 or only the prince one ?

Yes as like shown in the picture my glowing legion sword has totaly lost its cool glow, however my prince and lava sword still seem normal. Why would the graphics be made worse than the cool affects from playing with the normal game

I hope goa can fix this if it proves to be a bug.

the one shown in the pictures i good compared to mine, trust me this has to be a bug as mine lloks like a lump of wood ona handle. Mine doesnt even have a glow

i prefer the look of the SI glow it looks more natural than the mr whippy spiral shapes they had b4

On that particular weapon I preferred the old-style electrical crackly glow than the sickly new one. When (if) they introduce the ability for alchemists to imbue weapons with particle effects it will be interesting to see how many are available, and what they look like.

I had exactly the same problem,

was my legion Ebops. b4 they were pink after SI they turned into long lumps of grey metal to me. to everyone else they looked the same.

Tip: scroll you view right out by pressing ` and down cursor, and they will turn pink again when u get to max scroll range. Also update your driver...

yes i use GEf4 tti 4600. I dont seem to have the problem now though they are pink again.

The new glow is cooler imo darker and stuff, not the light saber stuff on the left
