Sword/Axe sb

lo all, I went with Axe when i made my sb due to dmg and nice big PA's but i've been seeing alot of sword sb, more so then axes.

I know that axes are slower but hit harder and take up more end.
Swords, hit faster, for less and dont take as much end up and the L50 move is nice, as in most things in this game u must sacrifice alot for hitting as hard as you possibly can but for a sb, is it worth sticking with axe or should i change to sword ?

I chose sword because they look better and there are TG sb swords.

If all you want is uberness maybe axe would be better.

dont bother with TG sb sword, all ive seen is way to fast

3.5 spd isn't that bad, and there will be craftable slower swords in next patch.

AXE styles own sword styles the havoc and trys style ownzzzzzz for a sz oc if ure gonna go cb then u dont need to worry about the styles just go for the weapon u think looks teh best

I don't think Axe styles own sword styles at all. Only benefit axes have over sword is the DPS which is a minor thing.
As a SZ with sword you may preferable go with Double Frost or Polar Rift and Comeback as back up. Playing with a chain and a backup chain messes things up quite easy. A sword speced SZ don't have that problem

As a 5-spec the CS styles styles are better.

I like the look of TG swords the most but I like the normal Axes (cleaver, double bladed) more then the normal swords so im kinda buggerd there, I'll be doing a mix of 2h and 1h PA's depending on situation.

damn i hate choises sometimes.

i read through vgn boards looking for topics like this and 99% of the time people who have tested both say that axe is much better.

go alb and roll a infil instead. they can actually kill stuff..

Axe seems to be the preference for dmg, but there are whispers (could just be rumours) that sword may get an evade based stun.

Another rumour is that sword could also be made str/dex based.


Could all be a load of old bollox though.

yeah i've seen thouse too, its doutful about the str/dex, but the stun might be real.
