Switching tasks??

Does any1 know why you can't switch back to windows from q3test, and will this be fixed in the [drool]proper game[/drool]

I think that's more a problem with the video card drivers rather than the game itself.

I have a G200 and can hop in and out most of the time (albeit to a 640x480 desktop), but every once in a while one of the buffers gets corrupted and I have to quit/reload.

Is there a fix, it's kinda annoying

I doubt it will be possible even in final game.

For some reason more recent drivers tend to stop you doing this, while older ones let you flick back and forth as much as you want.

I recently got new mini GL drivers for Q2 and all they did was stop me flicking back to Windows, needless to say, I got rid of them

Yup, I had same problem as Mincer..I installed the new MiniGL drivers, then I couldn't ALT-TAB out of Q2...pile of kak, so I changed 'em back...old ones work just fine thankyouverymuch

Oh, and no, I can't ALT-TAB out of Q3A either and I have a V2, 12Mb :/.

my banshee does the same. so i go and play a _proper_ game. Tribes lets me do it whenever i want, even HL doesn't

but Q3 does really ROCK!!!
esp on the BW servers cos i get a ping of 130, lower than my QuakeWorld HAHAHAHAH
