They don't even have Euro servers setup, or any staff employed. It won't be this year.

Besides, beta tested it, you think DAoC is boring after a year.. SWG is boring after a day.

Finally new game. SWG is my choice.

Im really sick of that server situation and dont want to pay GOA anymore for their nasty service. I`ll give my money to americans better - at least they do their job well.
And i swear i will never buy a game which will be providing by GOA .
I never thought about french ppl bad way but now i just cant help im starting to think that they have no brain at all.

Phuck SWG, i just cancelled my EQ account today after 4+yrs of shitty SOE support, and constantly being fed false hope and promises by SOE / Verant / EQ Dev etc...

Daoc seems alot better in many area's than EQ will ever be, and i'll be phucked if im gunna pay money to another shitty SOE product for the same shitty service and crappy content

to be fair (arrrgh the pain) goa are pretty good, server crashes are very rare (if easily causable if we tryed) and they do go to pains to get rid of greifers
however their translation speed is weird, they did si and 3 patches in just over a month, and now its gonna take em a month to translate patch....

Most of the text that needed translation in SI, were translated before the SI release in europe, and were added in through patches. When Europe finally got SI, and it was time to translate its contense, they only needed to translate the recently added text. Thats why it seemed so fast.

A few weeks ago, there was a note on Camelot-Europe, on how fast they could translate the patches. It was something like 70k words per month or so, and 1.62 has 130k words in it.

Compared to EA/Origin and others, GOA is doing a very good job.

All English players with an active account when the problem occurred will receive a free day which will be added to their subscription period, to try and make up for the problems of this weekend. This free day will be added sometimes this week.

Something like this is what I like about GOA. Had it been EA/Origin, you wouldn't have had 1 single hour refunded, even if the server had been down for a whole week.

Maybe it will be worth a look by time an EU server arrives, that is if we dont have the 3 month lag on patches like daoc.

hmmmm im guessin summer 2004 for it to be up and running on stable euro servers with any kind of decent content and with a solid customer base

still looks cool mind you and it dont matter how mince it is youll always get people playing it

The game is still in development tho. For their sake, I hope they do something about the gfx before release.


SWG is far from finished imo. A lot of things still needs to be added in, before they can call it so, and start charging people for playing it. Hundreds of bugs are still in the game, bugs like items disappearing, even whole buildings just wanish, that should be fixed first. Till then people should be allowed to play for free, because they still function as testers for an unfinished game.
