Not Yet, loved the first one and this one is supposed to run even better as they have gone with a lesser engine to allow older machines to cope with all the units.

lots of the SupCom1 fan boys are having kittens about stuff they changed, so if you want to check it, go read the steam forums :)

Don't forget there's a demo out, I found it quite bland tbh. I'll probably grab it if/when it gets quite cheap.

Ta's not quite as relentless. I loved TA but I also like the fact that SupCom doesn't let you rest for even a second.

i liked TA, but hated the fact that resources was basically unlimited and it was unit spammage opposed to tactics. But it was still fun to waste a few hours on :p

aye, nothing beats having set up a good base only to see a big crater appear right in the middle of your solar farm, and 30 seconds later see 200 units come zerging down your power starved defenses :)

Starcraft > all :(

Whats the diff between TA and Supreme Commander?

for me the story in TA far surpasses pretty much everything out there.

and there were ALOT more missions.

Resources weren't unlimited! The whole point was you could go mad building stuff but you'd choke your income so you had to balance your output with your income. Plus it meant you couldn't just turtle up - you had to expand and capture metal spots (until late-game anyway with metal makers).

I've only tried Supcom2 briefly but didnt like it much :(

I never really played stories so not gonna say anything about that. Mainly played 2vs2 and 1vs1 with my friend who was equally bad at RTS.

Meh, I bought SC2 the other day thinking it was a new game. I should read this forum more often. Looks pretty, story is decent, but the controls are horrible on the 360. Will persevere for the story but can't see it being a good skirmish game.

In the unlikely event anyone has this ... how the hell does one use the space temple? The controls are fail in the game anyway on the Xbox 360 so I suspect its fubared.

Thats not the point (though my PC chair is very comfy) the analogue stick can never give you the precision of a mouse, you can turn up the sensitivity in the settings, but its never quite the same. I loved CnC Retaliation for the PS1 but the controls were still bad compared to the mouse and keyboard. Also helps having all the keyboard keys to create 'hotkeys' and easy to reach group numbers, especially in a game like SC where you have tons of units at once. After playing a few 360 RTS titles, I found it harder on there because I felt the controls were working against me.

Presumably its the point why you didn't buy it on the console, but as he wasn't asking you the answer stands. Halo Wars controls are excellent, RTS games can work on consoles if they're not just ports of the original game but designed from the ground up.

really enjoying multiplayer on this tbh, lot of people using a lot of varied tactics.

winning quite a lot now, but really struggle on the small island map (usually play illuminate), just can t work a counter to battleship long range spanking, cant get enough gunships running to turn the tide.

chances are they got a crap home defence if they chuck out that many battleships that fast, so just build tons of cheap amphibious units and rape their base with them. :)

used to work decent in the original the few times i played online.

all you need to see what their strategy will be is a tech 1 scout plane doing a suicide run over their base.

you can probably build 30 - 50 t2 amph units for every 1 of their battleships if they build as slow in this game as in the original.

Plug your PC into the telly and get yourself a wireless keyboard/mouse?

RTS (and FPS's) suck balls on consoles. All of them.

The freedom of movement you get with a keyboard and mouse > all...
