Patch 1.85 brings with it a few new potions. Those of lvl 49 have 9 charges each and are on a 20min timer. They are as follows :

Superior Elixir of Might.............. = Str/Con buff
Superior Elixir of Deftness......... = Dex/Qui buff
Superior Elixir of Enlightenment.. = Acuity buff (cloth casters)

Before use, equip Stardrop or other items that enhance stat buff spells.

I thought others might like to know how to make them instantly available.

Inventory

put Deft Potion on......4.2... (space 65) {4.2 = page 4 slot 2}
put Might Potion........4.3.... (space 66)
put Enlight Potion......4.4.... (space 67)


Macros

make 3 macros as follows :

/macro DxQ /use 5 65 - put on quickbar 1 bank 8 slot 2
/macro StC /use 5 66 - put on quickbar 1 bank 8 slot 3
/macro Ac /use 5 67 - put on quickbar 1 bank 8 slot 4

QBinds

Type :

/qbind 8 2 1 then press Enter then Ctrl + D (at same time)
/qbind 8 3 1 then press Enter then Ctrl + S
/qbind 8 4 1 then press Enter then Ctrl + A

Now pressing Ctrl D = insta Dex/Qui buff and so on.​

You missed the point.

In that method, you need to find it, rclick and press E (Use) at the same time. The point of my method is that its instant : you don't have to change QBs to find it, or click mouse + key press.
ONE keypress (if you count CTRL+ KEY as one) and you have an insta buff no matter where it is on a QB.

many difference way to use, personally have it like inga write.
anyway 3 qbars up whit most of chars.
its easier (to me, old dog indeed) for me work this way.

atleast when play valk both hands are usually so busy pushing styles, self target/enemy/heals/warlord stuff/potions/face/stick its driving me nuts some day

There are other stuff linked to hotkeys on the kb, and i dont want all the stuff hotkeyed anyway, ist faster to just do a scroll down on my third qb where all my pots are takes 1scroll and 1 click to get what ya want.

the problem is remebering to move a pot into the slot after the 9th charge is used. or getting another item direct make icon from the next pot. otherwise you will be trying to hit end and find its not working. which can cost u fights tbh.

I use tooltips. If the pot don't got no charge left -> no tooltip.

Well regardless of ppl opinions on this subject wich they tend to flame and disagree on instead of just behave like gentlemen and approve the effort u put into explaining how u can do it Merc .. except for Ingy who delves another way to do it

I personally find a tread like this usefull and Ty for that. regardless of wether or not i'm doing it that way !

What I find strange is the fact that an Alchemist has to create item dye/poison/pot/charge.... to even be able to get it's stats up.

Same goes for the rest of the crafting lines. I mean if a LGM starts making an item, don't you think one should know what you making before it's done?

Yeah I've wondered the same exact thing. Why they cannot be shown in item info? (the "recipe" info)

Actually that's about the best explanation of qbinding I've seen. I've never used qbind up till now simply because it always seemed so complicated & I could never be bothered to find out exactly how to do it. Seems easy enough reading that explanation though so thanks for that

Qb

As one of the higher level Leg Alchs on the cluster I felt I could offer something in the way of assistance with the new pots. Remember these buffs can be used for low level toons, not all of which belong to lvl 50 players.

I suppose I should have said at the outset that my way is not the ONLY way and that the explanation I gave is for those who didn't know how already. A bit of guidance never did any harm, even if it is scoffed at by them as knows better. There's at least a couple of other ways it could be done.

The main thrust besides those points is that this way buffs can be got insta.

All my keys and most of my SHIFT+ Keys are used in some way so it made sense to use CTRL+ Key. The first three banks of all 3 of my quickbars are completely full. With this method you dont have to find anything or use a mouse click or dig into a quickbar. Yes, you do need to replace used up potions - but there's a message when the last charge is used anyway - and I always use page 4 of my backpack for such stuff. I don't think I can offer any help to someone who has forgotten to replace the empties.

Anyway, ain't no arm twisting to make you change your usual practice - take it or leave it - it's all the same to me.
