Anyone else remember taking a photo of the 'congratulations' screen if you completed it without dying, so you could enter the competition to win a T-shirt or something ! - then having to wait a week for developing incase the photo didn't come out and you'd have to do it again !

I ended up as runner up or something (I think) - cause they sent me a book 'Success in Software' by the guy that founded Superior Software. A full 32 pages of how to become a successfull games developer (and it's still sitting on my shelf till it bloody well makes me one)

I was a third of the audience for the first episode of Combat Cars ! (along with my missus and a m8 from down the road) not hard to spot in the audience !! - sticks in the mind as one of the most boring days of my life so far ... except they forgot to turn Jason Bradbury's mic off between takes, which did add humour to the occasion!!! - you could see the 'my career's over' look in his eyes ....

I managed to achieve short lived Geek fame by getting two letters published in PC Gaming World in the same month.
One of them was about game box specifications being lies (letter of the month and all, I won a 6 pack of Irn Bru... of if only I'd lied about my age and taken the JD instead), the other one was something along the lines of "Everyone playing on Barrysworld is better than me, I'm a newbie where can I go where I wont get whooped as much", though I think is was far more pretentious than that.
... I did do my bit to plug Barrysworld though.
