So over the past few months a friend of mine has been planning to travel to America this summer for a road trip. He is registered on some other forums, and has been for some time, and got to know alot of the people on it and even meet some irl.

When he mentioned the plan to me I immediatly wanted to jump at the chance and asked him if I could join him, since I love to travel and see the world.

So tonight I finally got serious about it and decided that I needed to get things sorted out since my friend has already ordered his ticket. There are alot of people on his travels and they are all putting him up, so ofcourse out of politness I had to send them all a message asking if it would be any bother for me to join my friend and them to put me up also.

Now that I talked to my friend about it, after most people said yes, it seems that there are a few that do have a problem as they dont have very big appartments and the light. Even with this I am trying to sort out what to do.

Since this happened it occured to me, why not do something of my own? So this is where you, the trusty people of FreddysHouse come into play.

America is one of the unknowns to me and all my life I have wanted to go there, but its a wee bit damned expensive to get there. So I put to you the challenge of trying to think of somewhere I can go for my Summer.

I know people in Canada, America, Dutchland (Denmark for the uninformed) and Holland. Though Holland I have been to before twice and I want to experience something new.

Any ideas people?

umm well to start with where do you live? i mean theres so many folk that go trotting off abroad and they dont even explore their own country, like here in the Uk i'd love to travel about and see all the places i've seen on those uk holiday shows but if your looking for somewhere abroad and cheap how about china? (ok ok i know its not cheap to get there!) but once your there you can go do loads of stuff stay in hotels for like 50p a night go and have a 8 course dinner for about £2- and experiance a completely different culture.

My bf lived there a while before we met and he can't stop going on about the place so if that sounds interesting i'm sure he'd love to tell you whats good to see and wheres cheap to stay etc.

Love in Northern Ireland and I have sorta explored Ireland, been done there many a time, but I dont really wana explore England/Scotland. I can do that anytime since I know a few people in each place.

China um... I might try that one when I could convince someone to do it with me, that one is abit far stretched lol, though I would love to visit there also sometime in my life.

wellll if your feeling really adventurous go on your own, thats what me bf did, he met up with quite a few other travellers (and got to boink many gals from other cultures.... so it would be educational) he went for a year and taught english part of the time, he said that the spring festival is the best time to be there, loads of food and people lobbing gigantic fireworks and running about with eye bandages and stuff.

I finish uni this year and I'm going to new zealand for 6 months in january. I'm going now simply because in 3/4 years time I'll have a full time job and I'll probably be tied down with some relationship :p

Its prolly the only time I'll get to do it, ofc its like a grand each way for a plane, so thats why I'm working for 6 months before I go, I'm also planning on working there for the 6 months as well. I'm not sure on the whole working abroad thing yet, I'm not even sure they'll let me stay there for 6 months. I'm going with a couple of mates, so hopefully we can get everything sorted fine.

Thinking about running with the bulls in Pamplona this summer. Then swing around Barcalona. Some excellent skate spots there. All depends on how my money situation is when summer comes :p
