Music Summer Festivals

Mostly only relevent to the UK gimps here, but who's going to what this year?

Glastonbury, Guilfest (Solely to see Howard Marks) and Reading for me. Looking forward to Massive Attack, The Verve and Vampire Weekend at Glastonbury in particular, although Reading's lineup this year looks surprisingly good too (Compared to the crap they had last year).

Sounds ok, but day 2 is quite useless and day 1 is only interesting cause I'd like to see Motörhead.

Day 3 is nice, though:
- In Flames
- Within Temptation
- Apocalyptica
- Children of Bodom

So basically, buy a 1day ticked for day 3

Summerbreeze is quite a good festival, but this year it's not that good tbh :/

Eluveitie (were there last year, rocked ! )
Ensiferum (absolutely great)
Korpiklaani (seem to be good)
Six Feet Under (nice nice)
Subway to Sally (really good German band)

BUT....you gotta see the freaks going for stuff like
- Cradle of Filth
- Marduk
- other bands where I couldn't identify the name from the logo...

Never saw them live, I only heard some very old albums from them. I guess it's a bit worn out now and they sounds the same all the time, but if they play at a festival where I am, I'd take the chance =)

Yeah, got to admit Glastonbury doesn't look too promising this year, with the likes of fricking Jay-Z playing. I mean, what the hell was Michael Eavis thinking?

Anyway, it should be a good atmosphere this year - tickets didn't sell out immediately like previous years, which suggests to me it's actually the people who really enjoy the festival who signed up rather than the random chavs you get at the likes of Reading etc.

NASS as in the extreme sports event in Bath and West showground? I used to go to that loads back in the day! Going to Lowlands in Holland. Glastonbury was pretty poor last year, looks even worse this year.

pft, Rock am Ring please. sick lineup, german priced beer and cheap compared to roskilde (tho im comtemplating going Roskilde as well, working to save money, My Bloody Valentine - FUCK YEAH!). I know its not English festivals but come on, RATM, QOTSA, Hellacopters, Prodigy (although its the new) Motorhead (cant do the fricking : above the O here) Opeth (possibly to see, dunno yet) Offspring, Babyshambles and many many more... please niggahz!
