summ spec sm farming

lo all,

i half respecced last night (got my summ line to 50) but havent been able to RA respect as of yet.

I was wondering if there is any form of replemishing power in battle? like power pots? or totems?

im stuck with things like purge atm lol, really usefull, any tips or advice would be very helpful.

Serenity regens power in combat.
Mcl also good.

Still totems and pots are on same timer. Only difference is that when using a totem it takes way longer before you can use one again

ye, u can, take away focus shield , wait a few sec, use the pot.

1: Send in pet.
2: Apply damage shield so it will be up just before the mob hits the pet.
3: Set pet to "stay" and "passive".
4: When you are at about 75% power, go out of focus on the focus shield - do it about 3-4 seconds after it last chanted and pulled mana out of your bar and you wont have to wait 5 seconds to do anything. Use a power potion.

From then on you just go out of focus to use power potions as soon as possible, and when you're down as much power as you know that your MCL level will replenish, use it in much the same way. When you are out of power and both the potions and the mcl are recycling you might as well sit.

If the fight might last long enough for MCL to actually recycle you might want to consider using it first to get that big boost again in the end. If you're going for very high level mobs raging power will be of good use.

any idea how much they cost? for bout 50% power replemish ?

think the level 40 ones are about 2.75g each, cost that is. Cant remember atm and im not able to log on since im at work

a lill secret cami.. put the pet on stay-passive then press mcl.. voila!

never worked for me, maybe im not doing it right.


Edit: i hear that sentence from Ardrias all the time

so its on stay / passive, without the focus shield for a few secs and it will allow you to use mcl.... then just re-cast focus shield? i like the sound of that

I was farming with my SM last night, MCL does work as blue says, you need to have pet on stay and passive, then spam MCL til it works, takes a lil while sometimes though
