Let’s kick some life back into this section with a little conversation about suicide ganking.
Lots of people hate it, many think it’s too easy – personally I like the fact that noone is 100% safe at any point. I think having ganking ships insurable is possibly over the top but that’s likely to be all I’d change. I’d add that being blue to goons helps with the survivability of an afk high-sec miner these days
Semantics aside, I am looking at the possibility of suiciding a missioning Caldari Navy Raven with approximately 5 billion isk worth of fittings (I have not scanned the ship). It is very likely that I could talk to this guy, get in a gang with him and quite easily take him out - that is not the approach I want to take as I consider it underhand. We have what can only be termed as an unpleasant history, he was in fact banned from the game for a period of time. I am considering this option as I have seen him log in again after about 3 months. The pilot in question never leaves high-sec and is currently in an npc corp. The CNR is his only real asset in game and yes, this is about depriving him of that; this is not the nice option and I fully realise that. That said, I have no evidence yet that he is back playing properly and undocking the ship, a lot more recon would need to take place first.
I know I am unable to do this with just myself and am wondering if anyone knows how many ships would be needed? Gank fitted battleships I would imagine. Are there people I can contact who are experienced with this kind of operation? Would Sharkith’s merc crew be able to offer a solution? While I’m not a rich player I’d be willing to spend isk on this.
Anyway I wasn’t interested in having this on the Eve-O forums as it’s a cess-pit and so was wondering if the Freddies had any thoughts
Thanks,
taB.
