They've all clearly been on the pies. Kallis, Boucher and Smith all look about 18 stone overweight.

I'll 3rd (or is it th now?) Spaced - awesome stuff.

Also any live Bill Bailey stuff is great - he's done two tours that I know of - Part Troll and Bewilderness. Both are excellent.

Peep Show is also great, although takes a while to get into it.

Although not a comedy, Dexter has some excellent black humour in it, wrapped around the nice guy/serial killer plot and makes brilliant watching. Second series airing on FX at the moment.

Agree with just about everything but .. Spaced must be watched!

Alternatively forget TV and sit down and listen to:
The Now Show
The News Quiz
Hitchhikers GTTG (catch the original BBC tv series as well)
Sorry I Havent a Clue

Dunno if it's been said before but:

Whose Line is it anyway?-->especially the english version hosted by Clive Anderson. Its on Dave alot or at least it was a month ago. Who knows with that channel. Anyway some of the sketches and Improv's they do are bloody brilliant.-

Erm did anyone mention Monty Python the series? Though at a guess the OP has already heard of that one. ;)

Oh Frasier is excellent. One series was a bit naff around 6 or 7, but rest are good, except when you get yanks trying to do british accents.

Or even Australians trying to do them as well. Anthony La Paglia (also in Without a Trace) who plays Daphne's alcoholic brother, I believe is from Australia.

For current events (although I love watching re-runs as well) you can't beat Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You..

The Brian Blessed one from this series had me wetting myself with laughter.

Agree with the Billy Connolly comment. He's my favourite comedian.
